Quite possible but that doesn’t mean the end of it.

Congress can change the immigration law.

AFAIK, no other country in the world allows birthright citizenship like we do.................

This ignores the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, which declared American Indians born within the US to be US citizens.

American Indians born in the US were "subject to the jurisdiction" of another nation, so the the 14th Amendment did not apply.

John Roberts is going to go, and probably Barrett as well.

So it will be 6-3 at best and birthright will be affirmed with no changes and birth tourism will continue. Maybe 7-2.

It needs to be said that Wong Kim Ark never addressed illegal aliens.

Absolute nonsense that the Mexican Reconquistadors have been peddling for 45 years.

Any child of a foreign citizen would be recognized as having that nationality. In the case of Mexico, they have a comprehensive and relentless program to do just that: give citizenship to their “citizens abroad” as they call them.

Total misdirection and propaganda.

Ratified in 1868, the 14th Amendment citizenship clause states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States. …”

Can a non-citizen be compelled to serve as a member of a jury? Can a non-citizen be involuntary conscripted into US military service? If not, then they are not "subject to the jurisdiction thereof".

WHAT THE HELL???

I have undivided sovereign allegiance "to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands".

The U.S. government is NOT my country, it's a bunch of jokers who allegedly are in charge of governing. They are not "the Republic". The Republic is defined by the Constitution.

The author (Jean Lantz Reisz Clinical Associate Professor of Law, Co-Director, USC Immigration Clinic, University of Southern California) is off her meds.

Those amendments were forced upon the Southern states after the war. They want to rejoin the Union? Ratify these amendments! Article V, which allows for a Convention of States was not used to solve the slavery issue because both sides were concerned the other would get the upper hand.

They essentially gave the Federal government special powers to provide for cosmic justice against discrimination.

Those same powers are now being used by enemies of America, like Mozlems, to bend the law their way.

For something Thomas Jefferson thought would be used frequently it has not been used once. Ever amendment added has come from Congress and to no ones surprise has added to Federal power. Its about time the States had that Convention and claw back power from Fedzilla.
