Biden Claims VP Harris Had ‘Six Full Months’ to Run for President
Breitbart ^ | 05/08/2025 | Pam Key

Former President Joe Biden claimed Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that then-Vice President Kamala Harris had “six full months” to run for president after he dropped out of the race on July 21, 2024 just over three months before Election Day.

Co-host Sonny Hostin said, “Well, Mr. President, some have even argued that leaving the race and endorsing your vice president, Vice President Harris, a hundred, over a hundred days before the election hampered her campaign. What do you say to those critics?

Biden said, “I say, number one, that there were still six full months. She was in every aspect, every decision I made, every decision we made. And I don’t think, I hope I didn’t sound the wrong way. I don’t think anybody thought we’d be successful as we were. I don’t think anybody thought we’d pass the Recovery Act. I don’t think anyone thought we’d have. We deal with chips and science. I don’t think anybody thinks we’d have all we got done in a close race.”

She had 4 years to audition for the part.

America said no.

Did anyone expect Biden to be good at math?

I would argue, that the short campaign helped her immensely.
Biden waited after the Republican nomination, so the whole conference was wasted on criticizing Biden.
She actually started very well, her numbers were the best after the Democratic convention.
Then they started long, slow decay, as people learned about her.
The longer she campaigned, the worse her numbers were.

I am glad to see Biden’s mind returning after whatever they had him on. I don’t expect his wife to let him recover, however.

Others have said it: Joe should have left the race in mid-October.

There would have been a burst of joy for Kamala; perhaps enough to put her over the top.

Joe left too much time on the clock and Kamala’s honeymoon was ruined by disillusionment. Then the free fall.

"Did anyone expect Biden to be good at math?"

His arithmetically challenged policy of trickle-up poverty was one of the hallmarks of bidenomics.

Correct! Biden's handlers knew from day one that he wasn't fit for the job but decided to cover it up anyway.

They thought they were being clever by waiting until after the GOP convention to trot Harris out because Trump would have little or no time to react. There was almost a FULL MONTH (a lifetime in a campaign) between Biden's abysmal debate performance and their shiny "new" object. It was by design.
