Mullin: You Can’t Have a Substance Conversation When Some Democrats Don’t Believe in Our Form of Gov’t

Friday, during Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) discussed the difficulty of working with people on the other side of the aisle when their political beliefs and ambitions are not compatible with reality.

The Oklahoma Republican said the hurdles included Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) beliefs in socialism and Sen. Chris Murphy’s (D-CT) presidential ambitions.

“Now, the delusion among the leading Democratic Party is almost hard to believe,” host Sean Hannity said. “Why can’t they just be honest with the American people? I don’t know. That would be refreshing. Here to help answer that question and more, Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin is with us. Do you ever have conversations with your colleagues on the other side of the aisle?”

How can you have a coherent conversation or debate with someone who doesn’t believe in freedom which is what America’s form of gov’t is all about?

No coherent conversation or debate with you then as you're ignorant as well.
Self-governance is what our form of government, a Constitutional Republic, is about.
Freedom is a byproduct OF self-governance.

Freedom IS self-governance.

How do you obtain freedom without first having self-governance?

Force of arms?
How do you maintain that freedom if obtained in such a manner?
Force of arms again or a societal contract?

Freedom starts with God as the Declaration of Independence declares.
all men...are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
Declaration of Independence, 2nd paragraph.

We are "born free". God made us to be free and it takes faith in God to initiate and sustain freedom.

Self-governance begins with your own governance of yourself. Then local governance. Then national governance.

In America, the limited republic of the national gov't, limited mainly to the purpose of protection from foreign invaders, was created by the Constitution which the free men of the local governances of the American colonies freely ratified in 1790 .
