Stocks rose on Friday as Wall Street digested a better-than-expected nonfarm payrolls report for April, which eased recession fears and lifted the S&P 500 for its longest winning streak in just over two decades.

S&P500 is up 12% since Trump took the lead in the polls a year ago.
It has been a good year!
“Only lefties wish for things to be bad. They want universal misery.”
Except for themselves of course.
When the market goes down, Nvidia leads the way.
But when the market goes up? Well, you know.;-)
“Trump Effect”
Just wait until the $5 trillion of foreign investment in the USA gets going, our expansive new minerals and energy exploration and production get going, and our $1 trillion trade deficit is halved. Stocks will soar.
He is such a midget, and such a dud.
He obviously bought into the oppressed vs oppressor narrative. Too bad it's a lie.
“Dammitol”
That’s funny. Gotta remember it.
“the NERVOUS NELLIES refused to listen.”
I couldn’t believe how fickle so many here were. Even DH, who worries about everything, wasn’t fazed in the least about the market. We had faith that PDJT’s decisions for the economy would be the right ones.
That it is!
What goes up, must come down. A word to the wise: Sell in May and go away.
FR is SO different now and the NERVOUS NELLIES have taken over, or so it seems.
ButButButButButButButBut Trump!!! 😫
Some @$$hat commented on a FB post I put up that explained the mechanics of how tariffs work that Trump was “kneecapping the economy”. Methinks, being of Irish descent, that he has no clue about tariffs or kneecapping.
I believe the Golden Age has begun.
“Stocks rose on Friday as Wall Street digested a better-than-expected nonfarm payrolls report for April”. How come the farmers aren’t included?
The Stock Market reacted to 177,000 new jobs in April when a recession was predicted. Private sector employment is up.
Federal sector employment is down.
It’s almost as if Private sector employment and Public sector employment have the inverse impact of each other on the economy.
The most overrated midget in history. The guy was wrong on everything but he was a good Clinton butt boy.
“NVIDIA is one stock I bought that has done nothing but gone down for the last two months. I am in for the long haul though.”
I bought Nvidia stock in 2019 (sold and repurchased some through the years). I estimate my $1300 purchase is still worth valued at $40,000.
You mean Trump knows what he is doing? Wow.
“This has to be killing them to report.”
almost guaranteed that nbc/cbs/abc/cnn/msncb/wapo/nyt/latimes are NOT reporting this, at best maybe a 10 second mention ...
You mean dropping most of the tariffs for the time being (including some of the ones on China)?
