PARIS, April 27 (Reuters) - The French government will propose combining or eliminating a third of government agencies by the end of the year in a bid to save money, the public accounts minister said on Sunday.
"We will, by the end of the year, propose in the budget that a third of state-backed agencies and operators that are not universities are merged or eliminated," Amelie de Montchalin, the public accounts minister, said in an interview with French broadcaster CNews/Europe 1.

And they seem to be drawing inspiration from Milei, Trump, Musk, and DOGE by cutting and merging units of government.
How many government employees have you encountered who actually act as though their job is to serve you as a citizen? I try to be respectful of everyone, and I’ve certainly met and interacted with many very nice and helpful government employees. That said, government employment has become another entitlement program for too many, and that’s not good for anyone.

Jeez, it’s a veritable WORLDWIDE DOGE PANDEMIC. What are all the parasites and sinecure-seekers going to do! Actually do productive work?
If France can cut a third of useless government we can cut ours in half. Or said another way, should we be able to cut corruption out of the Feds completely we could take out 2/3 of the gummit and that still leaves us with a MILLION employees to redistribute our personal wealth.
Sad, but true.
If you had the country your Founders founded, you could cut 90% without ruining too many people’s lives.
(Oh crap! Trump and the Americans are winning!")
Taking lessons from Trump?
Let me remind you, long ago I was ringing this bell.

Not only must he go, but it is time to abolish the Department of Education in DC.

Let’s hope they don’t instead just have a Deep State AI-tech front-man zooming through to vacuum up all the sensitive data for mass centralization, surveillance and control.

I hope that the new members of Congress are motivated to do what is necessary. The future of the nation depends on it.
It is TIME to DownSize DC! Eliminate entire departments, beginning with the U.S. Department of Education. That would be a win-win if the Department cost Zero to operate and it certainly does not. That entire department contributes negatively toward the quality of education in the U.S.
Next, EPA (stealth dictators), DHS (for the most part totally inept), etc. There are a ton of “agencies” that cannot possibly justify their existence even under a shallow examination.

And remember, Rick Perry tried to Run on DownSize DC. But was questioned by the media before he had time to research the concept.
Until I was kicked off of Twitter (X) six months ago, I was still using that phrase.

I have a better solution. Force them to tele commute and live in their district under our thumb.
That would stop the sell out crap.
The constitution states that the Congress shall meet at least once per year and specifies the time to begin. No legislation would have to be passed to
achieve this. The time they are to meet is not specified.
Downsize DC, enforce 10th Amendment, and tell the beaurocraps to go to H—L. Eliminate 75% of Washington and we would never miss them. And consider the
cost savings.

Europe is running out of OUR money.
“In short, Europe is finally running out of time and other people’s money.”
Coming from that bunch, I suspect it’s more likely to be handing over more and more of their sovereignty to the EU and other Globalist entities.
Bingo.
Whole governments waking up to reality. Kick the public debt can only works until it doesn't. Growing the size and expense of government until a populace will not longer tolerate it comes slowly and then as a rebellion which could grow into another revolution.
White House putting signs on lawn of arrested people . Haven’t figured out yet what kind of crime will be pursued if someone messes with those signs
I wonder if this was Stephen millers idea
