Zelensky Disrupts Today’s Talks, US Secretary Rubio Cancels Trip to London and Negotiations Get Downgraded to ‘Technical’ Level – Will Trump Walk Away From Peace Process?

Once again, a pattern repeats itself: on the eve of important negotiations, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky goes to the press to make bombastic statements that undermine the whole purpose of the meeting.

This time, the Kiev regime leader repeated his position that he will never recognize Crimea as part of Russia, and also presented a slew of other demands – it sounds like he believes his country is winning the war.

Besides that, in the UK there was nasty a reporting with official sources stating that host Foreign Secretary David Lammy was to ‘make sure Kiev’s negotiators were not led into an ambush’.

With all that lack of respect, it’s not surprising that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio decided not to attend the London talks.

Reuters reported:

“After speaking with his British counterpart, Rubio said he was rescheduling his trip to the United Kingdom to coming months.

‘I look forward to following up after the ongoing discussions in London and rescheduling my trip to the UK in the coming months’, he said in a post on X.”Rubio skip London peace talks with Europeans and Ukrainians.

The talks were downgraded to a ‘technical level’, and Trump’s Envoy General Keith Kellogg will attend the discussions.

“’In this particular instance, while the meetings in London are still occurring, he will not be attending. But that is not a statement regarding the meetings. It’s a statement about logistical issues in his schedule’, [State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce] told reporters at a regular news briefing.

‘General Kellogg is there, and so he will be having those conversations’.”US Envoy for Ukraine General Kellog was present at the talks.

Per a separate Reuters report:

“Rubio’s no show to the London talks prompted a broader meeting with foreign ministers from Ukraine, Britain, France and Germany to be cancelled, underscoring the gaps in positions between Washington, and Kiev and its European allies over how to bring an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The downgrading of the talks comes at a critical time, days after U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Washington could walk away if there was no progress on a deal soon. Trump raised the pressure on Sunday when he said he hoped Moscow and Kiev would make a deal this week to end the three-year conflict.”

The US was to present its peace plan, that Europeans and Ukrainians already complain that demands more concessions from Kiev – apparently oblivious to the unescapable fact that a losing side in a war is bound to get the worse deal in negotiations.

Vice President JD Vance, said during a visit to India: “We’ve issued a very explicit proposal to both the Russians and the Ukrainians, and it’s time for them to either say yes or for the United States to walk away from this process.”

Ukraine presented a paper for the Globalist-Europeans that states that there will be no discussions on territorial issues until ‘a full and unconditional ceasefire’ – which guarantees that no agreement will ever take place.

Will the US get tired and abandon the peace process in the Ukraine? It’s starting to appear very likely.

It’s not Trump walking away from the peace process, it’s Zelenskyy!

make bombastic statements that undermine the whole purpose of the meeting.

When the purpose of the meeting is to get Ukraine to capitulate, of course Zelensky is going to object.

I would add they aren't losing the war.

US should say: here are the terms. Agree to it by Monday or we pull all our support out and you can count on the war crazed Fascists of Europe to save you.

I doubt if any peace or long term cease fire is agreed to, as long as Zelensky has the deciding vote on Ukraine accepting the terms. He is like Hamas, trained to disrupt, distort and delay. He is not trained to unify or maintain the status of peacetime. That’s not where the big money is.

And by “all” we mean every form of aid we’ve given to Ukraine. No more US taxpayers paying for Ukrainians’ pensions. No more of our weapons being sold to the drug cartels to be used against us. Nor more Burisma crap. No more loan guarantees that then get bilked by Madoff schemes. No more ignoring when Zelensky has a US journalist tortured and killed. Nor more ignoring wheh Ukraine conspires with the Deep State to initiate a coup in the United States to oust our rightful President.

None of that. Zilch. We. are. done. with. you.

Would they be "winning" without the $350,000,000,000 money laundering operation?

If we stop shielding his country from even knowing there’s a war by holding up their economy above our own, Zelensky will be brought down.

It is the Deep State provisions to protect Zelensky that allows this to go on.

When dealing with the MOST corrupted government and “ leader” on the planet, he should have washed his hands of the Ukie war months ago.

Risks in staying engaged? Unwashashable blood on your hands. Get out, now.

What's reported, freeze of conflict, US recognizes Crimea as Russian, and raises sanctions on Russia, bans Ukraine from NATO while Ukraine gets another "Budapest Agreement", but this time without the US. Its everything Putin wanted.

Yup sounds like a great deal for Ukraine, can't understand why they would not accept it. /s

The latest pitch, as described by one senior administration official, offers Russia several “carrots” to entice it to come to the table while asking Ukraine to make several major concessions.

What Russia gets

Formal US recognition of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula as Russian territory — a major departure from Washington’s longstanding Welles doctrine, which refuses to acknowledge annexed territory as belonging to the seizing power.

“De facto” recognition of Russia’s occupation of four regions in eastern Ukraine, meaning the US would acknowledge Moscow controls the Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts while formally considering them Ukrainian land.

A pledge that the US would not support Ukraine becoming a member of NATO. Lifting sanctions to boost Russia’s economy, which has struggled throughout its war on Ukraine.

Opportunities for more economic cooperation with the US, especially in the energy and industrial fields.

What Ukraine gets

Assistance from European military forces as “a robust security guarantee” following a cease-fire. The US would not be involved in this measure.

Russia would return a small portion of Ukraine’s Kharkiv oblast currently occupied by Moscow.

Navigation rights in the Dnieper River, which runs along the front lines.

Assistance in post-war rebuilding, though it is unclear from where that funding would come.
