Trump gives Zelensky dire warning on Russia-Ukraine war: Accept peace or risk ‘losing the whole country’
New York Post via MSN ^ | 4-23-25 | Diana Glebova, Caitlin Doornbos

President Trump issued a stark warning to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, saying Kyiv’s leader was in a “dire” situation and “can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country.”

Trump, 78, was responding to Zelensky telling reporters Tuesday that “Ukraine will not legally recognize the [Russian] occupation of Crimea” — a key part of a US-proposed peace plan under discussion in London Wednesday, and a condition that has long been a red line for Kyiv.

“This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion,” the president seethed on Truth Social. “Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?”

Trump a decade ago criticized Obama for not intervening when Russia annexed Crimea. Kyiv has been working since 2014 to get its territory back and expel Russians from eastern Ukraine.

Now, the US is proposing formally recognizing the Black Sea peninsula as Russian territory — which would represent a major change to American foreign policy, a senior administration official told The Post.

“There’s a doctrine out there called the Welles Declaration, that goes back to 1940, that says that the United States will not acknowledge the occupation of a foreign land by another nation,” the official said.

“We don’t say that this is your result, but we acknowledge the fact that it’s annexed physically, but you don’t own the land you’re on.”

he government in Ukraine was elected by the Ukrainian people

That is a lie. The people in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk did not vote in elections after the illegal coup in 2014.

Yanukovych was absolutely impeached ILLEGALLY without the necessary number of votes to impeach him.

What are you babbling about? The Russians were not near Kiev in 2021.

You don't even remember when the war started.

LOL, sure thats why Russia drove its army to Ukraines capitol in 2021 after already seizing Crimea in 2014.

The people in Crimea willingly became part of the Russian Federation.

The people there overwhelming voted for Viktor Yanukovych, who was impeached illegally without the necessary votes in the Ukrainian parliament to impeach him.

The victims of illegal coups have a right to their independence and/or to join another country.

Only someone mentally deficient thinks the Russians intended to take a city of three million with 40,000 troops.

But, you are mentally deficient.

The people in the annexed areas have NO desire to go back to being part of Ukraine.

It would ridiculous to enslave the people there under a government has been persecuting and killing them for over a decade.

Still going with that lie? Let's have a little honesty here, shall we? You really do not care if your charges are true or not. As a Russian nationalist who believes that Ukraine should never have been independent in the first place, you will push whatever narrative that supports Russia's attempt to correct "Lenin's mistake."

Only because Russia had occupied those territories and prevented their participation. They could have participated otherwise. You are like the child who kills his parents then pleads mercy from the court because he is an orphan.

Zeep is not irrational just unwise. He was a co-conspirator with Biden and the Euro-trash to fleece taxpayers out of billions and share the spoils with the globalists. He is being advised by those co-conspirators that he should refuse peace and keep the war pigs fed. My guess is he has been convinced that Trump cannot throw him to the wolves. I think it is a miscalculation.

This has always been about the Black Sea. Russia will never see its access threatened. That can be taken to the bank.

Answer the question: Is it possible to takeover a city of three million people with 40,000 troops?

That is a lie.

The overwhelming majority in Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea refused to be part of a Ukrainian nationalist government that came to power illegally.

Only imbecile or liar won't concede that.

There is no chance any people are going to accept a President they voted for by more than 40 percent margins being removed from office illegal.

The police department in Mariupol, in fact, got into a shootout with the Ukrainian military after the coup when tanks were sent in. I've seen the videos.

You do nothing but brazenly lie.

If they believed the false intelligence that was being given to them that the Ukrainians would fold and the government flee. Let's stop the pretense that the attack on Kyiv was just a feint. It was an attempted coup de main.

I couldn't give a hoot if Ukraine exists after this war.

All I care about is that we stop wasting money on Ukraine, that we don't risk the lives of our troops there or get involved in a potential world or nuclear war.

The only people here that give a hoot about Ukraine are the corrupt politicians and elite that have and want to continue to make money there.

Russia/Putin invaded Ukraine because these barbarians think they own Ukraine. Same as during the Holodomor, when Russian thieves stole Ukraine’s grain surplus, to let 5 million Ukrainian starve to death.

Putin has been meddling in Ukraine ever since he smashed into Georgia in 2008 and NATO did nothing. Ukrainians got rid of the Putin bribed Puppet Yanukovych in 2014, which you Putin lover object to

Viktor Yanukovych, the former President of Ukraine. Yanukovych was removed from office in February 2014 following the Revolution of Dignity (also known as Euromaidan), after months of mass protests against his government’s corruption, authoritarianism, and his pivot away from the European Union in favor of closer ties with Russia.

Was Yanukovych a “Putin-bribed puppet”?
Pro-Russian Orientation: Yanukovych was widely seen as pro-Russian, especially after he rejected an EU association agreement and accepted a $2 billion bailout from Russia (part of a larger $15 billion package), which many Ukrainians viewed as a bribe to keep Ukraine within Russia’s sphere of influence.

Corruption: Yanukovych’s presidency was marked by significant corruption, with reports of lavish personal spending and the accumulation of wealth by his family and associates.

Russian Influence: While Yanukovych was not universally considered a direct “puppet” of Putin, he was heavily influenced by Russian interests, and Russia pressured his administration to crack down on the protests. Russian officials and advisers were reportedly involved in the violent suppression of demonstrators during the revolution.

Expert Views: Some analysts argue that calling Yanukovych a “puppet” overstates the case—he was primarily interested in his own power and wealth, and was seen as unreliable even by Russian officials. However, his alignment with Russia and acceptance of Russian financial support made him deeply unpopular with many Ukrainians who wanted a European future.

“When President Trump said he would end the Ukraine war within 24 hours of taking office, he didn’t know he would be negotiating with an irrational, little jerk.”

Your bimbo hate is amusing but it was Putin/Russia that invaded Ukraine. Clowns like you try to twist this around to make Zelensky the villain.

I've never been to Russia.

You, on the other hand, freely admit you're Ukrainian.

What I really have a problem with our globalists that set this war off. They are far bigger threat to the citizens of this country and the Western world than an foreign nation.

The EU/NATO/WEF cabal is the equivalent of the old Soviet Union, you dunce.

Free and fair elections have been cancelled in Romania and France. Free speech no longer exists in Britain and France.

The globalist agenda has flooded Western countries will illegal, third world and Muslim immigrants that endanger its citizens.

The warmongers in the EU and NATO have us closer to WW III and nuclear war because of their meddling in Ukraine than we ever were doing the Cold War.

If Zelensky insists on remaining pig headed, Trump should just cut him loose.

The big Z is not being pig headed. He has suggested a dance-off to settle this conflict.

Even though he is also a good dancer... Putin is apparently afraid to try and settle the conflict this way...
