‘If you look at Russia, yes, it’s obviously huge geographically, but the population is about 150 million people, about half the size of the US, and five times smaller than Europe. They’re big, but they’re weak, and they prove their weakness by the fact that they can’t even successfully wage war against a much weaker neighbor. So we have to stop being afraid of Russia or bowing down to Russia. We have to stand up to Russia, we have to protect Ukraine, support Ukraine, and if we do it right, it will all end well. It’s all about peace through strength.’

Anything he can do to continue to killing. Damn, where were the Russian drones?!?
“Rep Brian Fitzpatrick sending ‘personal message’ to Putin
He’s signing an artillery shell and firing weapons ‘NEAR the Russian border’
As US officials trying to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine
Why is a sitting US official literally aiming weapons at Russia?”

> It’s all about peace through strength. <
I don’t have a dog in this fight, as except for Trump there are no good guys on either side.
But my goodness, Rep. Fitzpatrick is at best an idiot. “Peace through strength” applies to keeping the peace. It doesn’t apply in the midst of a war.
So here’s an idea, Rep. Fitzpatrick. Tend to your own congressional district and let Trump handle things elsewhere.
The Logan Act is a U.S. federal statute that prohibits private citizens from engaging in diplomacy with foreign governments without authorization from the U.S. government. It aims to ensure the U.S. government speaks with one voice in foreign affairs and prevents individuals from undermining its position. The law, enacted in 1799, has been called upon to address potential violations, particularly when private citizens engage in communications with foreign officials related to disputes or controversies with the U.S.
What’s wrong with people, peace through strength isn’t never ending war.
And kill you and all my grandchildren. Brilliant. If you meant that as sarcasm, you needed the tag. There are still plenty of warmongering UNPAID MIC goons around here who would love to see billions die for their entertainment.
A question mark should provide a yuge clue.....
You don’t have a dog in this fight?!? Starting WWIII for MIC profits is of no concern to you?
When he met individually withvZelwnsky, who monitored his checking account .. So he could properly update all of his foreign currency 1099-B forms.
By having called into question US support for NATO, he has convinced the Europeans that prolonging the war is in their best interests because it will keep the Russians busy while they rearm. The new German government, for example, has already pledged a large increase in military assistance. France has supplied more armored vehicles & artillery as have the Scandinavians. Trump's temporary aid cut off to Ukraine has also caused the Europeans to step up arms deliveries and prompted the Ukrainians to increase their own production of drones.
The Code Pink right, in seeking to force the capitulation of Ukraine, is having the opposite effect of prolonging the war.
Keep up the good work guys! /s
Reading some of the warmongering morons on this thread will show you what I was saying.
He’s an Ivy League grad, so not surprising.............
All those tens of millions can be difficult to keep accurately tracked. It’s the hardest job a congressman has.
This jackanapes is my representative! He will be receiving a call today…
> You don’t have a dog in this fight?!? <
I do not. Putin is not a good guy. Zelenskyy is not a good guy. NATO is not a good organization (anymore). And neither is the EU.
I am rooting for none of them. That’s what “no dog in this fight means”.
It doesn’t mean I don’t care what happens. You can watch a boxing match without having a favorite, and still hope that neither boxer kills the other.
He says that “Russia can’t even wage war successfully against a much weaker neighbor.” But he is ignoring the fact that Ukraine was being supported by huge amounts of sophisticated weaponry and ammunition supplied by NATO, and that the US was supplying Ukraine with satellite communications and targeting information. In short, he is ignoring the fact that this is a proxy war between NATO and Russia, with the Pentagon providing much of the strategic command.
Has the Congressman seen a severe decline in side income since January?
Brian Fitzpatrick.....the stupidity runs deep in this one.
