AVIATION PING.....................
That’s a lot of left turns.
Its not that more of these are happening, its that its being reported more..unfortunately small planes crashing is NOT abnormal..heck its the reason you couldnt pay me to get on one..not a helicopter either
“The aircraft reportedly declared an emergency to air traffic control due to loss of rudder control after takeoff,”
Doesn’t anyone do maintenance and preventative maintenance anymore? 🤷
The pilot reported a loss of rudder control, that would explain all the left turns and eventually the crash.
Agree. More are being reported.
there is also a randomness to events, sometimes you get more than normal, sometimes you get less.
Non commercial aviation I think has a higher rate of accidents than commercial but maybe things are changing. Maybe things are getting suddenly worse or something.
Or do a pre-flight check………..
China with remote control?
There were many more accidents in the first months of last year than this year https://www.ntsb.gov/safety/data/Pages/monthly-dashboard.aspx
Should still be able to control it ok with ailerons.
“Its not that more of these are happening, its that its being reported more...”
Yeah I think that’s a lot of what’s going on......it’ll be Trump’s fault before long.
Small aircraft crash all the time, often because of lack of maintenance or pilots having a medical emergency.
Not if the rudder is stuck to the left.
It’s that there are more idiots with money who take up flying and alot of them are buying very hot, hard to handle airplanes that only expert pilots should fly.
That was my assumption from seeing the graph. Terrible.
Years ago we flew out of a small airport and every few months a pilot and often times his family would be killed in an accident.
Very expensive hobby, BTW.
That’s a LOT of scattered, burning debris for a “small plane” crash.
