Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said two Chinese nationals fighting in the Russian army have been taken prisoner in eastern Ukraine.
Zelensky said Tuesday that Ukrainian forces fighting in the Donetsk region obtained the Chinese nationals’ documents, bank cards and personal data.
“We have information that there are many more Chinese citizens in the occupier’s units than just two. We are now finding out all the facts,” Zelensky said in a post on Telegram. “I have instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to immediately contact Beijing and find out how China is going to react to this.”

Observers would not be surprising
LOL!
Another try at World War 3 for the clown actor.
I don’t expect the Chinese to react at all.
Don’t tell Lindsey Graham that or he’ll have us threatening to nuke China.
“...obtained the Chinese nationals’ documents, bank cards and personal data.”
How ‘convenient’ of them to carry the above to the front lines. Did they have a CD of the Chinese National Anthem with them too?
I can’t believe LG gets away with what he does.
They might be North Korean.
Starving untrained and left behind from a few months ago.
Ukraine has Chinese mercenaries fighting on their side so I’m not sure what the point is here.
Russia has more food than it knows what to do with. The days of the starving Soviet Union are long, long gone. The North Koreans there are not going hungry.
Speaking of North Koreans, we haven’t heard much about them lately.
Interesting if true. CNN you know.
LOL
whatever happened to the North Koreans? Are they all gone?
Certainly, the fake stories about them have disappeared.
It’s not like Ukraine doesn’t have nationalists from “wherever” fighting with “Z’s” army...So what’s his point??
I would presume they are mercenaries, not government actors.
Despite being a “communist” controlled country, China has the most capitalistic people on the planet.
One of the most capitalistic, yes... but do not forget that they also have, by far, the longest and most entrenched bureaucracy in history. The system of bribes and kickbacks and protection payments to local authorities is still pervasive. In the courts, 90% of the time, the litigant who pays the most to the judge will be the winner, no matter what.
(Hong Kong used to be far better than the Mainland on those scores, but the domination of the elites was as bad as you'd find anywhere else that has massive collections of wealth and economic power... and now that the CCP has their claws back into the Zone, the corruption has only grown and spread even more.)
Chinese nationals saying it’s not like the Movies
