Left-wing movie director Oliver Stone slammed Democrats for weaponizing federal law enforcement and “lying” in their attempts to charge the president with Russian collusion during the 2016 election. Stone, meanwhile, applauded President Donald Trump for taking steps to find out what really happened, adding that he is “absolutely” right that the federal government has been weaponized to attack political opponents.
Trump recently signed a new executive order directing the FBI to immediately declassify files concerning Crossfire Hurricane, the initial investigation launched in 2016 that sought information on whether members of the Trump campaign were colluding with the Russians to undermine the election. The president has also taken steps to go after the law firms involved in the scandal, including by suspending the security clearances for their attorneys and barring them from entering any federal buildings.
“Russiagate – we paid for it,” Stone said. “I applaud [what Trump is doing], and I hate what they did with Russiagate, I really do. I think it’s – again, the lying, the lying, the lying, and selling that to the American people.”

What this really shows is how insane the Left has become, that even Oliver Stone has abandoned them.

I don’t think he’s completely abandoned them, but their positions can zigzag and change so much now. For example, they used to criticize Republicans being against tariffs, but because Trump is using them, now they hate them?
That per what the Democrats were saying Russia was helping Trump, not Hillary. It’s been thoroughly debunked, but many still believe this.
Yes, but there also should be a full investigation to it, including how much help/money she got from Russia.
And Trump is the one that didn’t have it investigated his first term.
It’s too bad it wasn’t investigated, whatever the case.
I think Russia was helping nobody they were just sewing chaos.
But Hillary’s foundation did collect a heck of a lot of money from Russia. Over $100’million. While she was Sec of State. That should have caused an uproar. She took money from all over the world. Tie this to her private server and various other oddities like the Libya invasion and it was all unseemly at best. And when she lost in 2016, of course, the donations dried up. Evidence that the foundation itself wasn’t really out to help the needy people of the world. If it was doing good works and the donations were made in good faith the money would have kept flowing.
No, they were helping her. Even some of the Steele Report people had top level Russian connections. And of course, they had a $100M investment in her. And Russians have actively supporting Democrats in EVERY U.S. election since the 1930’s. Look up the letter Ted Kennedy sent Russia in 1983.

Yes; most likely a blind squirrel moment for Stone. Still, I’ll happily take it because he has credibility among the far left critters.
It’s probable that some of them will hear this small-”g” gospel and be forced to consider converting.
He also didn’t try to have Hillary prosecuted — not that Sessions or Barr would’ve done it. But at least TRY.
And he didn’t send Soros back to where he’s a wanted man.
... and among the biggest liar in this — if not the top liar — is Schiff who was awarded a seat in the U.S. Senate for his despicable, un-American behavior. Schiff truly needs to spend a few years in a Pelosi Gulag isolation cell for what he did.

I’m still hopeful with Bondi & Patel in charge now, and the documents being released. Even letting DOGE find evidence of fraud would be a start.
Make a movie about the Russiangate conspiracy using facts only. That should be enough to indict a boatload of dems……
And it would be a huge winner at the box office….
