Do they have anything besides Fords?
And nobody believes it. Just another car sales gimmick.
Even the “X” pricing given to employees a Ford cost more than a good negotiation at a dealership.
I have a Ford that thinks it’s a Mazda, or maybe it’s a Mazda that thinks it’s a Ford - a “Mazda Tribute” / “Ford Escape”.
So if it were being bought new today, would one get “employee pricing” if bought with the “Ford Escape” label, and not get that pricing with the “Mazda Trubute” label?, one wonders.
On June 2, prices won’t return to normal but to a “tariffs offset” price.
Higher than before...
I’m in Detroit. It pains me to agree...but compared to some other brands, their reliability and longevity isn’t where it needs to be.
This doesn’t sound too bad. Now, I’ve never owned a Ford product although there were some in the past that looked good. But now they don’t produce anything I’d want to own. Same is true of some other manufacturers as well. Finding a really good used car is just about an exercise in futility, because of unavailability, prices, & overall quality. Every American manufacturer used to build at least some good cars that remained good as used cars too, and were affordable, but nowadays this sort of used car is almost universally unavailable.
A fair example of good used cars that are pretty much unavailable at a decent price if you can find one.
Totally agree. Watched a few videos recently about this issue. I was surprised as it affects many manufacturers and different models among manufacturers. I thought, yikes, before I buy even a used vehicle I’m checking these out again. I’m old enough to remember bench seats, no AC and no radio. Hey, at least you could afford one!
Oh, gosh I miss bench seats. Do you know why we don’t have them? Some federal agency decided that having your feet in front of you made it less likely they’d be injured in a collision. Seriously, the government wants us ready for a collision for the entire time we own the car. (These are the people who designed the gas cans. A pox upon them.)
The industry reacted by putting a console in the middle and, of course, single seats. Not even the largest truck has a bench seat.
Thanks! Learned something new today thanks to you!
Before the war ended Ford got reparations for the damage to his factories by allied bombing from the Nazis to the tune of $104,000. He also got payment from Vichy France. Hitler stopped reparations payment for WWI, and Germany never finished paying those reparations off until almost 100 years later.
In 1965, the Ford Company went before the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission of the U.S. to ask for an additional $7 million for reparations for bomb damage done to the large Ford factory in Cologne, Germany. They settled for $1.1 million.
Yep.
Employee pricing... is this like the holiday sale price that says 20% off when it is regular pricing as he store was marking up the price till the holiday?
I am not against the US gov helping GM move factories back to the USA. They should get huge tax breaks for doing that.
I thought Ford claimed they were only going to sell those electric toys from now on?
