AG Pam Bondi Seeks Death Penalty for Luigi Mangione
Breitbart ^ | 04/01/2025 | Simon Kent

Posted on 04/01/2025 8:41:39 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty against Luigi Mangione, the man accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel in December, 2024.

Mangione, 26, faces separate federal and state murder charges for the killing. The federal charges include a charge of murder through use of a firearm, which carries the possibility of the death penalty.

“Luigi Mangione’s murder of Brian Thompson — an innocent man and father of two young children — was a premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that shocked America,” Bondi said in a statement, as seen by AP.

“After careful consideration, I have directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again.”

“...His prison pen pals are going to be super pissed at Pam...”

Without a doubt.
Perhaps, out of protest, they’ll publicly commit hari-kari at high noon in the city square, or perhaps, just publicly set themselves a blaze in the middle of Main Street. It’s only tthing a true adherent would faithfully do.... /s

If Alejandro Nicolas Mayorkas is found responsible for giving SS numbers to illegals which allowed them to vote and falsely get benefits, he should be hanged for treason.

He killed one; those in charge of the Afghan pullout killed at least 13.

That means he’ll die on death row fifty years from now while the appeals continue on.

Or a Dem President will commute his sentence.

Why is this a federal and not a state case?

The media and democrats have made this killer a hero. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a jury find him not guilty.

I don’t understand how this is a federal crime.

I’m not a fan of this. Yes, Mangione deserves the death penalty. No doubt about it. It was premeditated murder.

It’s also purely a state issue. The federal government should not be involved. I get that there are federal charges. But those charges are an overreach of federal power.

Not every crime should be a federal crime. But we sure are drifting in that direction.

"That means he’ll die on death row fifty years

The USA should send him to the CECOT prison in
El Salvador to wait out those appeals.

“It’s also purely a state issue. “

His issue was nationwide. He was a terrorist.

If insurance companies weren’t so predatory and corrupt, this would not have happened. I have very little sympathy for this murdered CEO. I think he killed thousands of people by denying claims for testing and treatment that should have been covered. They take your money in premiums so that you don’t even have the wherewithal to try and just pay the doctors directly. They take everything they can from you, and then leave you to die. Truly... I hate them.
