3 in 4 Americans Don't Feel Better Off Under Donald Trump: Poll

Americans' anxiety about their financial situation has grown under President Donald Trump, according to a new poll.

A 1,000-person survey conducted by Clever Real Estate published this week found that 26 percent of Americans feel better off than in September, with only a third (34 percent) expecting a better financial situation six months from now.

Sixty-three percent of those surveyed, meanwhile, believe the government is not doing enough to address key economic issues, which they single out as rising insurance costs (95 percent), inflation (94 percent) and the general state of the economy (89 percent).

The poll also revealed that nearly three-quarters (74 percent) of Americans believe inflation will worsen over the next year, with 70 percent expressing greater concern about inflation now than in September and only 39 approving of Trump's approach to managing it.

The survey, one of several in recent weeks reflecting growing pessimism among consumers, underscores the anxiety Americans are experiencing about the state of the U.S. economy. It also suggests a pessimistic view of the economic policies of the Trump administration, which campaigned on promises of enhanced financial security and a revival of domestic industries.

A sustained decline in economic confidence has already shown signs of translating into weaker consumer spending—estimated to account for over two-thirds of the country's GDP—and could spell further difficulty for U.S. businesses and the economy at large, while exacerbating existing fears that the country is on the brink of a recession.

Clever Real Estate's survey, conducted from March 5 to 9, found that nearly all those surveyed (95 percent) were concerned about price increases ahead.

Eighty-one percent of Americans expressed concern about tariffs or the possibility of a global trade war, with 49 percent expressing extreme worry. Almost three-quarters (72 percent) expect tariffs to have an overall negative impact

I expect as more illegals are either deported, or volunteer to leave, rent and interest rates will begin to fall.

Instead of all the spending cuts, the government could send the $600,000 per person tax bill.

Disclaimer:

The poll was done at 3AM in south side CHI and only 4 entities (humanity was questionable) were "interviewed".

Trump didn’t say he was going to send you $5,000. Here’s where that came from:

Elon proposed (get it, proposed) to distribute $5,000 to taxpayers from the anticipated savings achieved by DOGE.

The plan suggested allocating 20% of the total savings identified by DOGE to fund such payments.

For example, if DOGE successfully reduces federal spending by $2 trillion, 20% of this amount—$400 billion—would be earmarked for taxpayer dividends. Dividing this $400 billion among approximately 80 million tax-paying households would result in a payment of about $5,000 per household.

Sixty-three percent of those surveyed, meanwhile, believe the government is not doing enough to address key economic issues...

To me, that means the whole government, and that the Dems need to stop lawfare and dragging their feet and get with Trumps plan...

.......a poll taken less than 50 days into the Trump Presidency
says he has not “done enough to fix the economy”.....

Huh?

What was all that insistent “reporting” that four years of conniving Biden finagling the economy,
throwing away billions on liberal crap had provided that “lucky Trump” a mega-successful
economy risen to new heights of flawlessness in Biden’s .....gag.....”capable” hands.....
