Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s fiery Oval Office exchange with President Trump may have been influenced by the “gift” he chose to give the command-in-chief during the highly televised meeting.
Zelensky brought the championship belt of Oleksandr Usyk, the current world heavyweight boxing champion, during his February White House visit and planned to hand it over to Trump as a show of goodwill, he told Time Magazine on Monday in his first major interview since the Oval Office clash.
The belt was next to him on a table when the sit down between the two world leaders and Vice President JD Vance began.
However, Zelensky took a different approach at the last minute and didn’t grab the belt.
He instead reached for a folder containing graphic images of Ukrainian prisoners of war after Russia released them to show Trump.

You can bet the meeting with the war hawks before this meeting told Zelensky that was a great idea.
Trump needs to get away from these nutballs, the sooner the better.
Like Trump needs a lecture with props from Z. Hey Z, he’s the one trying to end the carnage.

He could have done it during any of their private discussions but decided to do it in front of the cameras.
What was Ztard expecting to achieve? President Trump is trying to end the carnage shown in those photos. Getting the US further into their war and potentially starting a larger multinational conflict is not the right answer.
Ukraine needs an adult leader. Someone sober enough to grasp the reality of their situation, and wise enough to negotiate the best possible settlement for the Ukrainian people. It’s clearly not going to be Ztard.
Like so much else in this "officially" non-NATO war between non-NATO Ukraine and non-NATO Russia -- and quite in keeping with those on these threads posting pictures as if discussion, debate and the like -- pictures of injuries are not an argument for increasing money and materiel. It is a truth, which includes all wounded and maimed soldiers throughout the ages, here and there alike. Ukrainians and Russians alike, among the causalities of war itself.
Zelensky is not the only Ukrainian, and another could take his place. That he persists as he does, with that history of the Bidens and others dipping into the trough of Ukrainian corruption in his back pocket, suggests he is playing a high-stakes game which so many Ukrainian men have already lost. Ditto for Russia and Russians.
All wars -- including the likes of our "war on poverty" -- are losing propositions, and this nation's massive debt now testifies that we need to stand down and bind OUR wounds, heal OUR veterans, and help OUR nation. First and foremost.
That’s why JD Vance said some of what he did. He knew and saw that it was propaganda for the tv viewers.
Usually thing like that meeting are worked out well before the public announcement. In other words, Zelensky ambushed Trump. No woner Trump and Vance were pissed.
What Zeepers told him to blow this opportunity?
He had a chance to rise above—and did not. He seeks to embarrass President Trump into pouring endless amounts of money and weapons into his ever decreasing in size country. Zelensky doesn’t want to own the fallout the EU and his own pride has brought.
Let Ukraine fall.

If he is ever allowed to enter white house again, he should be wearing a nice suit and enter on his knees.
Then again, Z acting like an entitled brat may have caused the office dispute, let’s see what other causes can we speculate about?
His pre-meeting with the hawks was when he probably received the photos with his instructions.
You can tell a lot about a person and what they think of you by the gifts they think you want.
Trump clearly doesn’t like Zelensky and it’s easy to see why. Not only is Zelensky a very dislikable person, he campaigned for Kamala Harris on our soil and he backed Trump’s impeachment during his previous term.
I hope President Trump doesn’t deal with Zelensky anymore. It’s a waste of time.
