Some versions of it are, some aren't. Some groups (secular and even atheist) use the name just for the shock value to get attention while sticking a thumb in the eyes of Christians just to see them react, but there are others that actually worship and follow Satan as their god, saying prayers to him, attempting to cast curses in his name, and offering sacrifices to him-usually in the form of goats or chickens, but also the occasional human victim. Some of the violent drug cartels are big into this. They pronounce a curse over every shipment of drugs they ship out.

It’s so typical of “conservatives” where they do a performative denunciation, but don’t take actual action because they are frightened of exercising power.

This is why the right has been losting for 100+ years. And will continue to lose until it seizes the power it has and uses it.
