Iran’s master stroke: New missile deployment could BLOCKADE US forces in the Gulf

The IRGC’s new missile bases on key islands near the Strait of Hormuz give Tehran the power to lock down a critical maritime chokepoint—and challenge US military primacy.

Strategic Islands Armed

The IRGC has deployed air & coastal missile systems on Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, & Abu Musa—3 critical islands west of the Hormuz Strait, gateway for 20% of the world’s energy trade.

600 km Strike Zone

IRGC Navy commander Alireza Tangsiri says Iran can now strike “enemy bases, vessels, and assets” within 600 km—covering much of the Persian Gulf & beyond.

What’s Deployed?

Tangsiri didn’t name the systems, but Iranian TV showed him inspecting troops and ground-based mobile missile launchers —hinting at serious upgrades in defenses.

Air Defense Coverage: Complete With SAMs like: ➡️ Bavar-373-II (300 km) ➡️ S-300PMU-2 (200 km) ➡️ Khordad-15 (120 km) Iran can completely blanket Gulf airspace —from its own coastline in the north to Gulf states in the south.

Choking Off US Airpower

From these islands, Iran can target: ✈️ Al Dhafra Air Base (UAE) ✈️ Ground aircraft flying out of US bases in Bahrain, Qatar & Kuwait

Effectively denying US warplanes access to the Hormuz Strait in a conflict.

Anti-Ship Missiles: The Game-Changer

With systems like: 🚀 Abu Mahdi (600 km) 🚀 Khalij Fars (300 km) 🚀 Qader (300 km, widely deployed)

Iran extends its reach to US bases in Doha & Bahrain, even threatening CENTCOM HQ & the US Fifth Fleet.

I posted one of the articles floating about Iran fortifying these islands last night. This is an update featuring the assets reportedly deployed. If Putin has allowed S300s to be deployed there, that’s a real problem. That system has been very effective against NATO technology in Ukraine.

Guaranteed Xi has been on the horn to Putin telling him to not let his boys in Tehran escalate to a point where China is cut off from its Persian Gulf lifeline.

It will take about 30 seconds to blow these facilities up.

Let them build them, then destroy them.

You’re kidding, right?

5 minutes later they wouldn’t exist.

This stuff gets posted from time to time...the BIG threat.

As if Ukraine has all the latest and best tech and as if US military is using them.

Also land and sea are apples and oranges.

People just like to worry.

Oh, gee. Silkworm missiles again. I guess we are screwed and will be forced to stay out of the Persian Gulf like before!

Yup, just a nice juicy target. Russia has proven it can’t protect its missile systems from even cheap drones.

Putting these assets on an island is an awesome idea, hope the operators have their affairs in order.

Laugh, if you will, but remember, those S-300s are highly effective. Until you download Stuxnet into them. Okay, resume laughing.

Look at the islands on Google Maps. Flat. A dock and not much else on one of them, not much more on another, and only one has a 10,000 foot runway. No place to hide.

The solution is for IDF F35’s that have proven themselves invisible to the Iranian/Russian S 300 defenses in Syria and most notably in Iran, to take them out on the islands.

I’m not laughing. I am stating a fact that if we know the missiles are there (whether they are fabled hypersonic missles or S-300’s...or Silkworms) that changes the dynamic just a little, tiny bit.

It is one thing for a country engaged in kinetic warfare to place missiles where their opponent’s assets are at risk without their opponents knowing of it, such as the Germans placing more anti-aircraft guns or fighter aircraft in an unexpected location, or the Japanese using airplanes in a suicidal man-guided weapon mode. Then when your enemy unknowingly enters the area, the weapons are unleashed on them, often with great effect.

It is quite another to be NOT in an active phase of kinetic warfare (technically at peace) and place those missiles there with the knowledge of the party who is supposedly going to be threatened by them. That is a very different situation.

Now, now is the time.
Provoke Iran’s Mullahs. Let them fire from their islands at US ships.

You couldn’t ask for a better scenario to begin around the clock destruction of Iran, and the US completely controlling the Persian Gulf.

Then the US can move everyone from GAZA to Yemen and/or Iran via ship when it’s through.

You don’t get opportunities like this very often. You have to take advantage of the ‘aggressive posture’ of you opponent here. Plus, we can then claim the ‘disputed’ islands.

Take out those missile batteries, AND the oil refineries and any air defenses they have around them.

Oh noes, what are we going to do against this Iranian military juggernaut? We better heed the Russian propaganda outlets and not even think about taking out Iran’s oil facilities or nuke program. Scary. lol

The Strait of Hormuz has always been a choke point. You don't need to station missiles close to it to be a threat. Alot of commercial traffic goes through there.

Iran probably has the ability to make U-235 bombs.

One can be smuggled in little pieces into NW DC.

It is my understanding that the Houthis have restricted the Red Sea.

I can’t tell you what Trump has done to fix the situation, but hopefully someone else can.
