Attorney General Pam Bondi launched a forceful attack on members of the federal judiciary Sunday, accusing judges of overstepping their authority and obstructing President Donald Trump’s policy agenda. During a Fox News interview on Sunday Morning Futures, Bondi said recent rulings against key administration initiatives reflect a judiciary that is “out of control.”
Bondi specifically criticized federal judges who have paused or struck down Trump-era policies, including deportations under the Alien Enemies Act, environmental funding rollbacks, and bans affecting transgender military service.
“This is an out-of-control judge, a federal judge, trying to control our entire foreign policy, and he cannot do it,” Bondi said, referring to U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who is presiding over the legal challenge to the administration’s controversial deportation program.
The Alien Enemies Act, a law dating back to 1798, has rarely been invoked in modern times. The Trump administration has used it as legal grounds to deport alleged gang members to El Salvador, citing national security and public safety concerns. Critics say the law has been used to circumvent due process protections, and it remains unclear whether many of the deportees had access to court hearings.
Bondi insisted the deportations were necessary and justified, calling the individuals targeted “the most violent criminals you can imagine.”
“These are basic public safety decisions,” she said. “We’re deporting people who pose a real danger to our communities.”
Trump’s immigration czar Tom Homan also defended the policy in an interview on ABC News, saying many gang members “don’t have criminal histories” but are still considered dangerous.

Bondi’s comments echo growing frustration within the Trump administration toward the courts. President Trump himself has called for the impeachment of Judge Boasberg, branding him a “Constitutional disaster” in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
Bondi doubled down during the Fox interview, expanding her criticism to include U.S. District Judges Tanya Chutkan, Ana Reyes, and Theodore Chuang, all of whom have recently issued rulings against Trump-era initiatives:
Chutkan: Blocked the administration’s attempt to cancel $20 billion in climate-related EPA grants.
Reyes: Halted Trump’s reinstated ban on transgender individuals enlisting or serving in the military.
Chuang: Ruled the dismantling of the U.S. Agency for International Development likely violated multiple constitutional provisions.
“These judges are trying to control our entire national agenda,” Bondi said. “But we’re going to fight back, and we are going to win. The Supreme Court will be ready to hear these cases.”
Trump’s impeachment call for Boasberg drew an unusually public rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts, who defended judicial independence.
“It has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” Roberts said in a statement, urging adherence to the appellate review process instead.
Legal experts warn that escalating rhetoric from the White House and Justice Department toward the judiciary could further erode norms of separation of powers and judicial independence.
Bondi also weighed in on a string of arson attacks targeting Tesla charging stations, calling them acts of “domestic terrorism.” She claimed the use of Molotov cocktails in the incidents, for which three individuals are facing charges, could meet the threshold of a “weapon of mass destruction.”

“When you’re using improvised incendiary devices to attack infrastructure, that’s domestic terrorism,” she said. “This isn’t just vandalism -- it’s meant to instill fear and disrupt American innovation.”
As legal battles over immigration, climate, defense policy, and public safety play out in courts across the country, Bondi made clear the administration will continue to challenge what it views as judicial overreach.
“The Supreme Court will get involved,” she said. “We’re not backing down.”
I am very tired of her keep doing all these tv shows and doesn’t seem to be getting much real work done.
I am tired of Amy Conehead Barrett being Traitor Roberts’ hand maiden.
YMMV.
But not all aliens are enemies.

Trump’s wing gal. /s
Maybe the Trump organization saw the need for a trusted mouthpiece.
Thank God we have Pam Bondi as AG!
Just round up those traitorous judges and hold them in lockup until you can stick a violation of the law on them. They need to feel the pain, as much as they inflict it on others. Let them scream and complain all they want, they’re trouble-makers.
until I see someone perp walked and jailed, she will remain a DEI hire in my book...
Trump is, I think, 0 for 3 in AG picks.
From Conservative Treehouse:
Attorney General Pam Bondi makes her 69th Fox appearance this year to talk about how the Biden and Congress approval ratings are terrible when contrast against their opposition to President Trump’s deportation program.
As a political pundit Mrs Bondi is an effective communicator as she outlines how Judge Boasberg made her work on weekends. However, as the head of the United States Dept of Justice, those political skillsets just don’t transfer to legal acumen. What we end up with is performance #69. WATCH:
Criminal charges-arrest judges.
I think the party snookered the judge...Have to see what Schumer and Pelosi and Jeffries are saying...
I don’t think Bondi sees the big picture. IMO she deals with one issue at a time and only addresses problems once they’ve
become news. That might be fine for a state A.G., but being AG of Florida is a far cry from being U.S.A.G.
I fear that Trump made the wrong choice when he picked her. I give him credit for most of his cabinet picks this term. He’s chosen some exceptional cabinet secretaries who are totally in sync with his agenda. But Attorney General is a really important position. He needs someone who’s worked at the DOJ and understands how it operates and where the corruption is hiding. He also needs someone who’s proactive and aggressive. I just don’t see her fitting the bill. I hope she has some good deputies who can steer the ship in the right direction.
I agree.
She’s got a hell of a lot to handle being bombarded daily by a WAR tribe of Obama judges. It’s insane! Over 50% of citizens voted for Trump and his promise to expel these alien theorists out of the country. They judges are being directed to usurp a duly elected President. John Roberts needs to do his job and tell these judges that they are committing treason. The war tribe of judges think they have more power than the Presidency and SCOTUS!
She definitely needs to be spending >50% of her time taking out the trash.
Most you guys commenting here failed Civics class.
Judges have NO power to arrest or detain people.
They can order it but the order has to be enforced
by Police that for the most part work for the executive
and in some cases legislative branches of government.
President Andy Jackson once said “the court has made it’s decision, so now let them enforce it”.
If Trump wants to ignore them he can!
I would!
Federal Judges are not generally elected.
So who are they accountable to?
That is the narrative the left has been pushing but it is utterly meaningless legally. The law has never been challenged, it's still on the books and it has been used several times since 1798.
It is a legal power of the President and a previous SCOTUS ruling specifically stated that it is not subject to judicial review.
Any "threat of predatory incursion," known by the President, is sufficient to invoke the law.
Established by who and when? Cite the statute or judicial ruling that established that, Roberts.
Or are you know running Congress while the lower courts run the Executive?
