The head of the non-profit relief organization calls the cuts “brutal,” saying his agency is “in crisis.”
Catholic Charities, the Archdiocese of San Antonio’s wide-ranging relief organization, has laid off 200 employees due to drastic cuts in federal funding by the Trump administration, it announced last week.
The funding losses puts refugee housing at risk, with some families facing eviction without rent and food assistance.
The layoffs, which represent half the agency's staff of 400, occurred in the last 30 days. The affected employees worked mostly in refugee and asylum-related services, both federal programs that represent lawful immigration.

we have something like this in the neighborhood where I work. It used to be called Farm workers ministry, or something like that then they changed it to something unnoticeable. But basically it is where they would move illegals around. I went inside one time and I saw Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King murals on the walls and everything on poster said.”votar” and immigracion”, they literally had baby strollers with food and milk and everything wrapped up in cellophane in big bows in a big row like a car lot. Where you could pick up your baby stroller and get signed up for WIC. It had absolutely nothing to do with jesus it was just about getting illegals into the United States so they could start donating to the church.

I would bet that many of those clerks at Catholic Charities knew that they might get canned.
Much of the U.S. foreign aid to the PITHOLES of the world do go through Catholic Charities because of their record of honesty.
