Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) referred to Republicans as “*&**&^&^” on live television before quickly apologizing during a heated discussion on MSNBC over his decision to vote in favor of the GOP’s stopgap funding plan to avert a federal shutdown.
Schumer has faced intense pushback on the left this week, with progressives accusing him of capitulating to Republicans — who hold slim majorities in the Senate and House — on a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through September.
“It’s much, much better not to be in the middle of a shutdown, which could divert people from the No. 1 issue we have against these bastards — sorry, these people — which is not only all these cuts, but they’re ruining democracy,” Schumer said Thursday on MSNBC’s “All In.”
The Senate is expected to vote on the stopgap spending measure Friday ahead of a midnight deadline to fund the government. Republicans have a 53-47 majority, but most legislation, including the CR, needs 60 votes to advance in the upper chamber and overcome a filibuster.

Actually it is his right to call us names, just like it is our right to call them. This is the great American tradition with a long history (calling political opponents names), and nothing wrong with Schumer for doing so.

I really hate that sources print stories without exact quotes. Due to public schools the kids cant read what it says anyway. I know, there are some very sensitive people out there but maybe they should get some rose lenses for reading the news.
Could it be something as simple as the fact that Schumer didn’t have the votes?

Like most of the vermin in our government, he is a self-serving, corrupt, arrogant hack.
TTT here’s an attorney I’ve known personally for about 15 years. I’ve never had to deal with him regarding legal issues until recently.
He’s a very high powered attorney but the demands he is making are foolish and completely unreasonable.
We got him to blink and back off which surprised me. It’s proof that he knows he’s not reasonable.
What has amazed me is that since our issue began and I’ve had more chance to listen to his whiny lawyer voice I’ve noticed he shares Schumer’s derogatory vocal inflections.
I haven’t shared that observation with my wife. She already completely distrusts him. This would make it worse.
We’re all a deplorable bunch of asterisks and ampersands.
I didn’t know that “democracy” meant an uncontrolled bureaucracy unanswerable to the word of the people. Leftists are totalitarian scumbags.
More than a right to call us names, it’s his duty to show what a childish POS he is.
