Last year, a series of Yelp reviews surfaced on social media, written by a young man named Yarden Silveira. Silveira was a detransitioner—a person who once identified as transgender but no longer does—who suffered severe complications from gender-related genital surgery. In these reviews, he castigated his doctors, claiming they had mistreated him.

Yarden died only two months after posting the reviews. Their discovery briefly made waves on social media, but details of Yarden’s life and death remained obscure, hidden behind multiple aliases and a vanished online presence.

Thomas Satterwhite, a plastic surgeon and founder of Align Surgical Associates in California, performed Yarden’s vaginoplasty. Satterwhite is a leading figure at the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the controversial professional association for gender medicine. He has a focus in “non-standard” genital surgeries—customized procedures that do not conform to conventional male or female anatomy.

You deem it necessary to strike out against the person afflicted with a mental disorder, instead of those who deserve the wrath of us all, namely the medical profession that supports treating the disorder by talking them into making the terrible decision to transition for monetary gain and the politicians who are also making them feel as if their gender doubt is real & that their only solution is to go with the gender they feel they really are?

He was on the autism spectrum. No father figure growing up - homosexual tendencies he tried to escape by believing the promises that he could change from male to female (then desiring men would be okay). I’ve watched other interviews with men who said the same thing - for some reason they say gay is now low status among the LGBTQwhatever crowd, and in the distorted belief that they could become REAL women, then they would escape the lowly status of ‘gay.’
The interviews of detransitioners I’ve watched all said they had mental illness and were preyed upon by doctors who realized this. Clinics for transgender knew these people had mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression etc. and basically told them they would be euphoric once they transitioned - all their problems would go away. The doctors lavished attention on them and were proud of them etc. Until the horrific surgical complications set in, then the doctors won’t talk to them ever again.

Gender Dysphoria should be treated in a mental hospital. We NEED to open a massive number of mental facilities, for those who believe they are born into the wrong body, as well as those who think they are Michael Jackson, or Napoleon. His Mother has much of the blame, helping him get tatoos, and not researching what happens to children in single parent homes. Let alone setting boundaries on who he could speak to, and curating doctors and counselors.

The child was born with problems, but Mom cause much of this.

They did not get addicted because of mental issues. Sorry, your argument falls flat with me.

But there are actually exceptions with drug addicts, as some have been made into addicts not by choice but by force. Now I am not saying that this is how the majority got addicted, because the majority did indeed make decisions to get involved with addictive drugs.

I was heavily involved in drug usage myself, and I even tried addictive drugs, But I made the decision to avoid getting into that trap knowing I could not afford it. Cocaine held no interest for me at all, because you constantly have to feed that high as it quickly wears off. Heroin was far more seductive, but again I still refused it after initial forays into experimentation with them.

I also finally abandoned alcohol as well, because I really abused it when I imbibed.

My preferences were pot & psychedelics. Neither were really addictive, though they were somewhat habit forming much like the cigarettes I smoked. Now, I have no vices and have been free of all those bad choices I had made in my youth, for decades now.

Mental health issues are not brought on by making poor decisions/ They are not even necessarily brought on by abusive parenting. Sometimes the mental issues can be identified by a cause such as a brain tumor, but many more cannot be identified by a causation.

In other words, many who exhibit mental issues are not to blame. Some though are to blame for allowing their obsessions to overtake them at an early age, which is why after a given period of time they eventually outgrow their mental issues. But then again, at a young age they are still not responsible. As adults they are free to have any medical procedure they desire on their own dime.

We fully do not know about this person. Thus, one must afford them the benefit of a measure of leeway.

If that medical procedure stripped away the ability to enjoy orgasmic pleasure, it would be a real hit on the warped purpose of the sex change. I think the real purpose of this sexual deviation is for the benefit of the quack doctors. These doctors want to line their pockets through the mental perversion of their clients. There is a big chance for surgical slip-ups. For these quacks, it becomes a big “Oh well . . .”
