By signaling its openness to a ceasefire, Ukraine has handed the Kremlin a difficult challenge at a time when the Russian military has the upper hand in the war: Should Moscow accept a truce and abandon hopes of making new gains, or should it reject the offer and risk derailing a cautious rapprochement with Washington?
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly ruled out a temporary break in hostilities, saying it would only benefit Ukraine and its Western allies by letting them replenish their arsenals. He has insisted Moscow wants a comprehensive agreement that would ensure a lasting settlement.
The Kremlin responded cautiously to the news of Ukraine accepting the U.S.-proposed truce during Tuesday’s talks in Saudi Arabia, saying that it needs to know details of the discussions before expressing its view.

Why would Vlad accept a ceasefire now when the Ukie’s Kursk offensive is collapsing? Maybe, just maybe when they are totally destroyed and ejected from Kursk Vlad may have some compassion for the Ukies.
All ( even the corrupted western MSM) information is showing the Ukies are retreating en masse after huge casualties.
Ultimately, the globalists “EU” want this to go on.

He has plenty, if need be. Russia is, by no means, an economic powerhouse. Their economy is highly dependent on oil revenue, which makes it vulnerable. Beyond economic leverage, Trump can temporarily ramp back up military assistance to Ukraine if necessary, as a reminder to Putin that he doesn’t hold all the cards, and to bring him to the negotiating table. Trump has made it clear he wants an end to the conflict, and Putin wants it to end as well. He just needs Trump to remind him of what the alternative is if he doesn’t seize this opportunity.

Who is buying their oil now, that would stop because the US demanded it?
What would Trump do that Biden and the Europeans haven’t already tried?
Trump’s policies can have an enormous effect on the PRICE of oil. In fact they already are.
Drive down the price of oil, for starters. And in fact, that’s already starting to happen.
We cannot expect the other major producers will increase production to drive down prices.
And our own producers cannot ramp up below about $60bbl.
$60 is the floor...if not a higher level.
