JERUSALEM -- Israel announced Sunday it is cutting off its electricity supply to Gaza. The full effects were not immediately clear, but the arid territory's desalination plants receive power for producing drinking water. Hamas called it part of Israel's “starvation policy."
Israel last week cut off supplies of goods to the territory of over 2 million Palestinians, an echo of the siege it imposed in the earliest days of its war with Hamas.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassam called it part of Israel's “starvation policy, in clear disregard for all international laws and norms.” He said Israel has ”practically" cut off electricity since the war began.
Israel has faced sharp criticism over cutting off supplies. “Any denial of the entry of the necessities of life for civilians may amount to collective punishment,” the United Nations human rights office said Friday.

The first hummus attempt to accuse Israel of causing starvation was proven to be a load of crap.
No water, no electricity, no sewage service, no trash service, no electronic communications, no food, no medical aid or aid of any kind, no electronic transfers of money, and etc. NOTHING until they get back all of the hostages and they agree to leave Gaza.
Let’s see how long it takes them scream “uncle.” When that happens let the IDF go in there and clean house again and again and again until it is Hamas-free.

Maybe instead of investing all those billions given to Gaza in tunnels and weapons they could have invested in infrastructure that would have sustained life. No sympathy.
I don’t think that Israel should be forced to supply anything to Gaza especially since all they want to do is rape, murder, and torture Israelis.
How often in history has one warring nation been expected to provide food, water, electricity, etc. to its foe? The aid comes after the surrender, if at all.
