Tuesday, following President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, Fox News Channel analyst Brit Hume offered his feedback on the President’s remarks.
Hume acknowledged the partisan aspects of the address but called it “the most effective” of his 50 years of covering speeches in that setting.
“This was the most boisterous, the longest, the most partisan speech I’ve ever heard a president give in this kind of setting,” Hume declared. “And I go back about maybe 50 years on this. I also think it may have been the most effective. I mean, if you ever doubted that Donald Trump is the colossus — the political colossus of our time and our nation this night and this speech should have put that to rest.”

Almost like they’re trying to set a narrative that MAGA has to end with Trump’s term as there’s only one of him and he was for the time, but we have to go back to “normal” politics in 2029?

I agree with you. Those RINOs are delusional enough to believe that. I think they really miss losing.
That is why I see Trump this term bringing in and giving face to many young MAGA personalities. He is aware they have to have some important experience and become rising stars.

The people on the View are weird and nasty, but Hume is just a haughty, smug prick. Fox pays this jerk $5 million and never has anything to say of substance.
I watched the post-speech talking heads on CNN as I already knew what the Fox talking heads would say.
It appears Hume did not disappoint.
So, according to Hume, being pro America is partisan.
Was Hume blubbering when he said it.He has little affection for Trump.

I had hoped it would have been even more partisan.
Wish he would have told the pricks to get to hell out if they thought they were so smug and did not want to participate.

Ditto for me. I can’t stand the sight or sound of Britt Hume.
It is impossible to envision the world without Trump, after his term, because the world will look nothing like anything we can imagine. This derives from 36 trillion in debt.
It’s not about any of the glowing optimistic plans and projects and desires from the speech. It’s about the cold concrete hard realities of mathematics.
There is no magic. There is debt and interest on the debt.
