As Pope Francis approaches death, millions of Catholics around the world put aside their differences with the man to pray for him. Some pray for what Catholics call a “happy death” free from mortal sin. Some pray for his return to health. Some pray for his conversion or repentance.
“It’s a sad thing to say but there should be no controversy whatsoever about people sincerely praying for the salvation of the pope’s soul,” said Frank Wright, a British Catholic journalist. “I see nothing but good intentions for that. I pray for the soul of the pope myself. It’s our duty.”
It might be a theological duty in Wright’s eyes. But is it a moral one?
As FrontPage Magazine has repeatedly reported, Francis is trying to turn the Catholic Church into a tool of globalist, materialist utopians at the expense of centuries of moral teaching, especially on homosexuality and abortion. In the process, Francis has used rhetorical duplicity to dupe well-meaning but naive Catholics while promoting his agenda.

Frank filled the Vatican with fellow travelers so we are likely to get another leftist.
There's a challenging phrase in there, in which we ask God "to forgive us our offences as we forgive those who offend us".
Benedict was not kicked out, he chose to retire.“
No, he was forced out. You are being naive.
The argument that "Jesus never prayed for the conversion of the Pharisees" is specious. We don't know that, we only know that it's not recorded. We do know that Jesus mourned over Jerusalem's hardness of heart. He's not talking about the buildings or the walls, but about the hardness of heart of the Jews, especially of their leadership, including the Pharisees.
As far as the Pope's recovery from his illness ... if it be God's will, then let His will be done.
Uhh, was there similar prayer for Judas? Yeah, according to Jesus any soul can be saved.
But, is it right that anyone spend as much as a second asking Gawd to forgive evil? Would Gawd respect that or just think you an idiot?
He had a whole lot of "help" with that "choosing," some of it possibly originating in the Obama White House.
Whether he was really forced to resign under duress, well ... we may never know for sure.
That is a poor title.
I took it as praying to get a malicious pope.
Well said.
Pray that he goes straight to HELL where he belongs.
He is a sinner just as the rest of us are, and Jesus died for him, too.
I hope Frank takes this opportunity to get right with Him.
This!
I’ll pray for him to see the error of his ways, and ask our Lord Jesus Christ’s full forgiveness !
And please let the next Pope be Catholic!
I can pray that he’ll accept Christ as his personal savior. My cousin is a minister there in Italy; maybe he can stop in and take pope down “The Roman Road”.
I take a “Thy will be done” approach. Francis hasn’t been a great leader.
We are all imperfect.
Peter denied Jesus 3x. He was forgiven.
We can pray for his salvation, but can’t, with a clear conscience, pray for God to bless him in his sin and give him success in evil plans.
Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. I pray for the Pope’s health in every respect— body mind and spirit, as consistent with God’s will. And that God may form him into the man and leader that He wants him to be.
As Christians, we know that Saul became Paul. We have hope and confidence in God’s ability to transform people.
I hope the next Pope will at least be a Catholic and not a Marxist. Unfortunately, since he has had time to pack the Cardinals and Bishops with fellow Marxists the next Pope will most likely be another Marxist.
We’re all deserving of hell and should never wish it on anyone.
No more Jesuit popes.
It’s in the Lord’s Prayer “Thy Will Be Done

God gave man free will. So if a thug shoot and kills an innocent child, that was not God’s will.
Man has free choice. We can choose to make the world better or we can choose to make the world worse. Love the Lord or sell a soul the the evil one.
