VOLODYMYR Zelensky has insisted he will happily step down from office in exchange for Ukraine joining Nato....
Zelensky spoke to reporters at London Stansted airport after a day meeting European leaders and holding talks with Sir Keir Starmer over finding a long-term peace deal.
He said that his country's freedom is "not for sale" and vowed not to quit despite pressure from the US after his White House bust-up. [He] did once again offer to step down as Ukraine's president if it meant his country would be invited into the Nato alliance.... "To change me it will not be easy. You would need to prevent me from participating in elections and it will be a bit more difficult. You will need to negotiate with me."...

For centuries the Russians wanted buffer states on their borders, never more so than after WW2 yet the EU/US keeps pushing the eastward expansion of NATO.
Maybe NATO needs to be formally abolished and a modern day replacement found.
There is a rumor, unconfirmed, that he is a frequent cocaine user.
But, even if he is, during the meeting it seemed he was sober. I, myself, was once a long-term user... so I am well aware of the signs of said use. He was sober during the meeting. The mental effects of cocaine psychosis are usually cured with a few days sleep. The effects are less related to the actual cocaine and more related to a lack of sleep.
So it wasn't coke. I think it was far more likely he was goaded into his behavior by domestic enemies such as Rice and Nuland, and got another boost in confidence by being well-received by Europe.
Europe, of course, has a long way to go to be able to match America's military, but they are capable in the long run, and appear to have the desire to elevate their abilities.
Still, that is then, and this is now. He'd be well-advised to consider that, at the moment, we are the only country truly capable of matching (actually, easily bettering) Russia. China, of course, can better Russia, but they seem to be hands-off at this time.
