Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
I imagine you were ready for those ribs after all the running around you and Gizmo did. :-)
There’s a front coming through early next week, hence your wind prediction. I saw somewhere tonight that your area of the country will be under a red flag alert for wildfires.
We’ll be under a severe weather alert Tues. into early Wed. morning.
I hope you’re already in bed, dropping off to sleep. At least the alarm has only one more morning of being in danger. :-)
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Those ribs look sooooo good. And it looks like Gizmo covered a lot of territory and had a good time at Comanche Lake.
You guys have a great time on your Sunday outing.
I pretty much was. LOL! Woke up before the dreaded alarm went off. :D
Good Morning Kathy! ((Hugs)) right now it’s foggy but hopefully it’ll clear out; if not, I want to go over some material about flying to a new airport on our itinerary.
And now you can look forward to sleeping in tomorrow!
When a Soldier Completely Changed WW2 Without Realizing It

On Dec 16, 1944, as dawn broke over the Ardennes forest, 20-yr-old Lieutenant Lyle Bouck and his 18-man Intelligence & Reconnaissance Platoon of the 394th Infantry Regiment faced an overwhelming threat. For weeks, they had intercepted German communications, uncovering Hitler’s plans to amass veteran soldiers along the Belgium-Germany border. Now, Bouck’s platoon faced the German Sixth Panzer Army near the Belgian town of Lanzerath. They were outnumbered & outgunned. Over the radio, they received chilling news: there would be no anti-tank weapons, artillery support, or any other help coming their way. Despite this, the men prepared to defend a crucial road.At 5: , the Germans unleashed a devastating 90-minute artillery barrage. For the next 20 hrs, 18 men 7 their 20-yr-old would be all that stood between 700 German Paratroopers & a German victory at the Battle of The Bulge.

Comments below the video:
“Back in the 1960s I was dating a girl from a tiny West Virginia town. One evening while at her parents home, the father of her sister’s boyfriend (who was visiting) noticed I was wearing shiny military low quarters. Once he realized I was on leave, he started talking. For the next 6 hrs he told me of his exploits while serving as a member of Merrill’s Marauders. He talked of battles on river banks where his unit defended positions with BARs & M1s. He told of hanging in a hammock, delirious with malaria, for 10 days during a train ride. His two teenage children had never heard these stories. There is so much unwritten history of incredible hardship.”
“The bravery and tenacity of these 19 men is astounding & there names should be on the tip of every school child’s tongue, but alas this stage of the worlds history is now forgotten in schools all over the world. Thanks for sharing another eye opening video and much appreciated history lesson ”
I am already looking forward to that! The nap I had this afternoon was way too short! LOL!
