A federal judge in Seattle on Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order pausing the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, siding with arguments that the order likely exceeded the president's authority.
“The president has substantial discretion to suspend refugee admissions. But that authority is not limitless,” U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead said in his decision. "He cannot ignore Congress’ detailed framework for refugee admissions and the limits it places on the president’s ability to suspend the same."
Between the halt in admissions, staff layoffs at refugee agencies and the indefinite suspension of family reunification, Whitehead said there appeared to be an “effective nullification of congressional will.” Further, he said, the implementation of the order “likely violates bedrock principles of administrative law.”
He said an injunction was needed because “our system of separated powers demands no less.”
The Justice Department and the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

They also argue the executive action is at odds with the Refugee Act of 1980, which laid out the process for letting refugees into the country. Attorneys for the Trump administration countered in court filings, stating Congress has delegated the admission of refugees to the president. So he can block their entry if he finds it “would be detrimental to the interests of the United States,” the Justice Department wrote.Every time congress passes a bill giving an inch to "refugee services" or something similar, it gets loaded into the mile long appeals truck and dumped into the court system. It gets labelled as "urgent" because otherwise, the media will report that "Trump's 100 days" is stalled.

“our system of separated powers demands no less.” Only an imbecile could make that statement while breaching the separation of powers.

I think Trump should ask the judge to cite his authority for issuing his decree.

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."

I believe that the SCOTUS needs to step in on all of the local tyrants' rulings and stop them. And they need to do it last week.
((lol - maybe DOGE nds to ask the SCOTUS to report what they did last week))

are there any judges who actually know of and understand our constitution? do any judges understand the oath they took as judges based on the constitution? because it doesn’t seem so.

Yeah, yeah. We get it. We (FR) predicted it. These federally appointed judges are stupid and corrupt and will always push the Party Line. They are the bane of Righteousness and always line up on the side of the enemy.
Conservatives must neuter this evil if the Republic is to be saved.
Eph 6:11-12: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Someone made a point the other day that something is broken is Every district Judge Jamal can supersede the authority of the elected President where a single Supreme Court Justice cannot. This is going to get fixed one way or another.
