Canadian PM Trudeau Says ‘You Can’t Take Our Country’ After 4 Nations Hockey Win
Breitbart ^ | 02/21/2025 | Warner Todd Huston

Disgraced Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a shot at the United States Thursday after Canada’s national team beat the U.S. in the 4 Nations Hockey championship game.

“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game,” the Canadian PM crowed after the game in a statement on X.

It seems clear that Trudeau’s first comment was in response to Trump’s joking that Canada should become America’s 51st state. However, his last statement is at odds with the fact that a Canadian team has not won hockey’s Stanley Cup since 1993. It appears Americans have taken Canada’s game for more than two decades.

For his part, Donald Trump confined himself to congratulating and encouraging the U.S. team. He called the team and complimented them on their skills.

If Canadians want to know what it can be like sharing a border with a powerful, psychotic, country they should take to the French...the Poles (Germany *and* Russia)...The Ukrainians...the Indians (China *and* Pakistan)...the Koreans (Japan *and* China)...

Trudeau hates hockey anyway, it’s too “white”.

From the article: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said "You can’t take our country -"

I stopped right there. It's not their country as Canada is a commonwealth of the Crown.

Agreed. Curling is probably Trudeau’s thing.

First of all, Canada won a game in overtime. Hat’s off to them for that (but not to you, Justine who wouldn’t last 3 seconds in a hockey game). But that doesn’t mean that hockey belongs to Canada.

Second, Americans who’ve spent time in Canada don’t want Ontario or British Columbia. We’ve got enough Socialists and 3rd World migrants already. Now, Saskatchewan and Alberta might be a different story, given their natural resources and low populations. So instead of your sad attempts at macho talk, why don’t you let the people of Canada vote, province by province?

I posted this on another thread this morning;

This morning online, I saw an AI- generated picture of a beat up, bloodied bald eagle lying on the ice with a Canadian goose standing on top of its body.

Made me want to nuke Canada.

Were any of the players on the Canadien team alive the last time the Stanley Cup was won by a Canadian team?

The author is a moron. The “American” teams that have been winning Stanley Cups since 1993 have had rosters mostly dominated by Canadian players.

And Canada has dominated the U.S. in top-tier international competition since 1993, winning almost every championship game between the two countries. Canada has won three Olympic gold medals since 1993, beating the U.S. for two of them (2002 and 2010). Canada has won 9 IIHF world championships and 17 total medals in that time.

The only notable U.S. victory over Canada since 1993 was in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.

Was kind of lousy for such a big deal to be made out of that first one and then they lose the rest of them, including to Canada.

Yeah, Canada got pushed around in the first match and the American team checked the hell out of them. They were tired by the third period.

This time they kept their good players on short shifts until third period and were stronger during overtime.

The 1993 Canadiens were an ok team... but they had a very hot goaltender in Patrick Roy.

This was a rather silly affair to begin with, IMHO. Normally, the league has the all star game, skills competition, and even the old timers game during this time of year. The media played all of this nonsense up with Trump made out to be the enemy and I basically tuned out the whole thing because of all of the anti-American emoting and nonsense.
