ESPN host Stephen A. Smtih’s latest foray into politics has upset veteran politico James Carville.
On his podcast, Politicon, Carville addressed Smith’s recent ruminations about a 2028 run for the Democrat nomination.
“If you’re the Democrats, that’s why Stephen A. Smith is in the news,” Smith said recently on The Stephen A. Smith Show, “because y’all don’t have anybody. You don’t have anybody. Who you got? Who you got? Kamala Harris better not run. She better not run.”
Carville noted Smith’s prowess when it came to sports. But, he took a decidedly different tone when it came to the ESPN hot-taker’s political acumen; specifically, the former Clinton aide said that when it came to politics, Smith “didn’t know his *&& from a hole in the ground.”

Talk about self important, he just wants to hear himself talk and watch himself on TV.
Like Hillary, every day is a Hell on Earth for him. Misery, what-ifs, rage-filled booze-fests, whining, envy, and on and on and on.
I wish them both a long, long life.
Grabbing my popcorn for this one... neither one is the type to sit down and shut up, even when they should.
Kamala needs to run again to prove she can win at least one primary.
Notice that CarVILE didn’t mention any strong candidates they have.
White man tells black man to shut his mouth. I’m sure CNN and MSNBC will be all over this. Not.
Carville is proof that Randy Newman was right about LSU....
College men from LSU
Went in dumb, come out dumb too
James Carville wants ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith to shut up so that people don’t notice a sports commentator has as much political commentary legitimacy as James Carville does.
Sounds like Stephen is getting a little too “uppity” for Serpenthead.
Stephen A is right on that count.
Smith has a right to get political; but the left will go after him -— just as it did with New York mayor Adams.
Yeah, that is pretty uppity of Smith to think he has a right to free speech. Stay in your lane, Stephen! Massa James will let you know what you can think.
Who is Stephen A. Smith?
At this point the Dems are looking for a candidate, not a president. That’s how we ended up with Kammie.
Smith lost his place, is that it James?
SerpentHead has lost his mind.
LOL, I have been enjoying Carville's meltdowns. Truly delightful and chock full of seething, livid butthurt that keeps my schadenfreude topped-off.
Pretty well said! I could say the same about a bunch on our side...and about anyone who has achieved even moderate fame as an entertainer or performer. Lots of people need to just shut up.
