Pope Francis is suffering from pneumonia but is nevertheless in “good spirits”, the Vatican has said.
The Holy See has been forced to cancel this weekend’s Holy Year events, the Vatican added, after scans of his chest on Tuesday which revealed the inflammatory condition in both lungs.
In a statement, the Vatican said: “The follow-up chest CT scan to which the Holy Father underwent this afternoon... demonstrated the onset of bilateral pneumonia, which required additional drug therapy.”

I thought he only had one lung. Did it grow back? It’s a miracle!
I have to agree. It’s bad form to pray for a fatality.
Will Pfauci order Remdesivir?
I don’t know why they call this communist pope “the Holy Father.” There is nothing holy about him.
I can only pray tothe Lord that His will be done. And leave it at that.
I do not wish harm to him and never have.
As with others I want him to change his policies and the stances in speeches about politics, immigration and allowing leeway for Pelosi and Biden that is denied to others.
Not a Catholic myself.
Amen.
Amen.
There’s only one Holy Father and the pope isn’t him. That said, praying that the pope repents finds salvation in the Savior Jesus Christ alone.
RE: one lung.
As a teenager he had part of one lung removed.
No one is praying for his death - certainly I am not.
but I can’t but help notice a certain symmetry, not so different from the 1980s. John Paul II, Thatcher, and Reagan all arrived on the scene at basically the same time - and it resulted in the death of global Communism
Neo-marxism then infected the West.
Trump now is beginning reform in the USA. Will we see the globalist/marxist EU in Brussels disappear was well, with perhaps a new, truly Catholic Pope?
Pneumonia can be quite serious. Especially in such an elderly person
Even pagan godless communists have to die sometime.
LORD have mercy.
If he were at least 30 years younger, his doctors may be thinking of a double lung transplant, if that ever even happens. At 88, such invasive, aggressive surgery would be too much for someone in his condition; elderly and already compromised via pre-existing ailments.
“I hear you knockin’, but you can’t come in!!”
I am a Catholic.
I am on Team Vigano.
Die Frank, repent and die.
