European leaders to hold emergency summit on Ukraine as Trump peace push leaves them isolated

European leaders will hold an emergency summit on Ukraine Monday amid growing concern that the Trump administration’s push to work with Russia to end the war has left them isolated.

The continent has been scrambling to respond after US President Donald Trump announced negotiations would begin “immediately” on ending the conflict following a phone call with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and Trump’s Russia-Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg saying Europe would not be involved.

The summit was confirmed by the Elysée Palace, which said French President Emmanuel Macron would hold an “informal” meeting Monday with “the heads of government of Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands and Denmark, as well as the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission and the Secretary General of NATO.”

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it a “once in a generation” moment for national security.

“The UK will work to ensure we keep the US and Europe together,” Starmer was quoted as saying in a statement released by Downing Street on Saturday. “We cannot allow any divisions in the alliance to distract from the external enemies we face.”

European NATO and the EU wrote a bunch of checks on their Ukraine account, but the bank just called and said there are insufficient funds.

One of the most shameful episodes for Europe we've seen in our lifetimes. Utter disgrace.

Push or pull or get out of the way.

The Europeans are busy destroying their own countries by allowing muslim invaders to take over. People who follow that philosophy have nothing to contribute to any peace negotiations.

In fact they have done great harm. They told Ukraine they were all in and would do whatever it takes to repel the Russians.

When they never had the ability or intent to do so.

That’s what they get for following senile Joe and the war cheerleaders….starting war with Russia….a very good lesson to be learned about warmongering.

The best they can do is apologize, rebuild the Nordstream pipeline they blew up, and get on with trade and commerce with Russia. Fools, all of them.

If not, it is not a stretch to see the EU disintegrate….no tears from me.

The Europeans pretended to be relevant because Joe Biden allowed them to do that.

To create an "European" army, France/UK/Germany will have to spend $$$ but their economies are stagnant due to socialism and they're now focused on climate change.

They've had three years to prepare for this day. Instead they were hoping that somehow Harris will manage to pull out with a victory on Election Day.

Perhaps the secret in Europe that all elections are "regulated" so that a "far-right" party cannot win.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with AfD in Germany.

My guess is that all parties in Germany will form a coalition so AfD will not be able to establish a government even if they do end up winning up to 45% of the seats in the German Parliament.

We’ve had to be their Daddy for over 100 years.

It’s a wonder they can even go to the toilet on their own.

No wonder they let a handful of muslim “migrant” terrorists tell them how to run their own countries.

--- "Poland just might have the most to say."

Or it could be like a ladies' club meeting, and everyone of them will demand to have "the most to say."

No matter one's view, it is assured this will be most, most interesting.

Well, Dad came home after an extended deployment fighting to protect our country and discovered that his 35 year old son was still living in the basement, using the family car, credit card and leading “Death to America” protests.

So, he kicked his ass out, took away the car keys and cut up the credit card. “You’re on your own son”

We don’t need that many chefs in the kitchen. Trump, Putin and Zelenskyy in Riyadh can get it done. Europe can have rights to buy up to 10% of the agricultural exports. They’re gonna need it now that they are destroying their own farms.

Indeed. They are responsible for this mess. So was team Biden. Egging them on to more war and death and refusing to even talk about negotiating a truce. Biden is gone but they are still here so no, they can’t come.

"12 February 2025, Paris.

We are ready to enhance our support for Ukraine. We commit to its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s war of aggression.

We share the goal to keep supporting Ukraine until a just, comprehensive and lasting peace is reached. A peace that guarantees the interest of Ukraine and our own.

We are looking forward to discussing the way ahead together with our American allies. Our shared objectives should be to put Ukraine in a position of strength. Ukraine and Europe must be part of any negotiations. Ukraine should be provided with strong security guarantees. A just and lasting peace in Ukraine is a necessary condition for a strong transatlantic security.

We recall that the security of the European continent is our common responsibility. We are therefore working together to strengthen our collective defence capabilities." Hilarious! Will they even bother to retract? lol
