Washington could impose tougher sanctions on Moscow and send U.S. troops to Ukraine if Russian President Vladimir Putin fails to negotiate a Ukraine peace deal in good faith, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Friday. “There are economic tools of leverage, there are of course military tools of leverage,” Vance was quoted as saying. “I think there is a deal that is going to come out of this that’s going to shock a lot of people.”

"Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact."
Well, I certainly hope Putin doesn’t call their bluff. It’s Europe’s problem, not ours. I don’t want any Americsn blood spilled for those ungrateful Muslim lovers.
🚨🇬🇧🇺🇦STARMER: UKRAINE STILL ON “IRREVERSIBLE PATH” TO NATO DESPITE TRUMP'S DOUBTS
Starmer assured Zelensky that Ukraine’s NATO membership remains inevitable, reaffirming Britain’s support “for as long as needed.”
This stance contrasts with Trump, who said Russia would “never… pic.twitter.com/IbKfLZ4Vg5— Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) February 14, 2025
Somehow that = troops?
Isn’t this the exact opposite of what Hegseth just said re NATO and American boots on the ground?
Didn’t Hegseth just say the other day that there would be NO US troops in Ukraine as a response to a direct question?
“The Moscow Times” a USAID rag out of Amsterdam, designed for USAID stooges to use to pimp USAID disinfo!
YOU are BUSTED!
He didn’t say we weren’t willing to put boots on ground if we needed to
No Americans should die for Ukraine.
A careful reading of these articles -- since a similar one was floated earlier this morning -- finds that "troops" is the translation for some of "military tools of leverage."
That same careful reading shows that the original "source" -- the Wall Street Journal, simply now re-published several times by different non-sources -- was careful to print Vice-President Vance's actual words with real quotation marks, while their assertions of troops was without quotation marks. This one sees a game of the "wrap up smear" being played, wherein someone said that someone said that....
This is how this morning's news got to making us think Vance said troops.... Clever, eh?
Wall Street Journal is probably lying.
Vance and Hegseth are playing good cop/bad cop. Trump is a master of carrot and stick diplomacy.
There will be no American Troops in Ukraine.
More Sanctions. Yes.
Send French Surrender Monkeys as Peacekeepers.
Its gonna be fun watching you cross them off one by one as USA-RUSSIA relations improve.
I did put some time into the Moscow Times some months ago. It’s a Zelensky source, with funding from probably the US. It’s not located in Moscow, and that’s a pretty ugly thing to be doing.
The budget issues have arrived with the first House resolution released. It has all sorts of talk of tax cuts (Trump’s from 2017) and spending cuts (a “goal”) of a $2T floor (which sounds nice but it’s spread over 10 years).
And a $4T increase in the debt ceiling — an amusing reality with alleged spending cuts presented.
That $2T over 10 years is $200B per year if evenly distributed (which it won’t be) and there would seem to be no way for Trump to see that number and then erase it with another $150B/year sent to Zelensky.
Numbers will decide all this. Russia has their own central bank to create money and far far less debt than the US, both nominal and as % of GDP.
You guys pushing this imperative to defeat Russia are going to have to consider the reality that we can’t afford it.
I don’t believe he threatened U.S. troops in Ukraine. I’d have to see the video clip to believe that.
I did see the Secretary of Defense say just the opposite and that European NATO members are going to have to step up to the plate as we’re going to have to shift our focus to our own border and the large threat of China.
“I did put some time into the Moscow Times some months ago. It’s a Zelensky source, with funding from probably the US.”
Did you make all that up?
