Democrats, Angry About DOGE’s Spending Audits, Ready to Shut Down Government Spending

Democrats are prepared to shut down the federal government during next month’s spending fight after becoming enraged over the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) financial audit of government spending.

The Democrats’ tactic puts them into a precarious position of supporting waste, fraud, and abuse, three items DOGE is tasked with cutting.

“I cannot support efforts that will continue this lawlessness that we’re seeing when it comes to this administration’s actions,” Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And for us to be able to support government funding in that way only for them to turn it around, to dismantle the government. That is not something that should be allowed.”

Democrats are particularly upset DOGE gained access to the federal payment system at the Treasury Department to monitor outflows of taxpayer funds. They are also angered about President Donald Trump’s decision to essentially defund many agencies, such as USAID, and layoff staffers.

Of course, the MSM just enables. When they blather “lawless”, someone needs to ask “Exactly how is it lawless? What laws are being broken?”. Of course, MSM NEVER asks such a thing.

Precarious? This has been the Democrat position since forever.

Some judge would rule a shutdown illegal. Probably tell congress the budget they have to pass. To save democracy.

Yes after the mid terms they won’t be many left in office.

Wouldn’t surprise me if some move out of the country with all the audits and USAID scam inspection going on.

Yes!
Let them shut the government!
The only condition - do not pay the furloughed people back their unearned pay!

There is no “Lawlessness” whatsoever in what DOGE is doing.
They are acting at the request of the President in areas that the President has control over as the Chief Executive.

DOGE is not shutting down anything, they are only uncovering waste, fraud, and abuse and with their findings, the President is making a decision to close or reduce the departments that he has control over.

The waste, fraud, and abuse needs to be publicly pronounced each and every day from the White House to the media and internet so that all Americans can see what has been going on. This is the best medicine.

If the Dems are mad because it is being exposed and that most of the fraud is linked to Dem run institutions ... so be it.

If the Dems wish to resurrect the “Summer of Love 2020” this year, it needs to be made loud and clear that it is THEY who are instigating it. It is THEY who are supporting waste, fraud, and abuse. And it must be done on a daily if not hourly basis by the White House and the House and Senate leadership.

The repubs now need to focus like a laser on preserving the 2017 tax cuts to make them permanent before the summer.

Democrats could care less about the US citizens. It’s all about them and their quest for power.

How is shutting down going to work in regard to forcing an increase on spending on far-left and Deep State priorities that repulse the majority of Americans?

Anything essential is funding during government shutdowns. Anything popular with public can be put for a vote and it would be political suicide for Democrats to oppose it.

This idiotic suggestion is more of what disarray the Democrat party is in.

A bit O/T, but the Democrats are acting like a few of my unruly soldiers when I was a Platoon Leader in Germany. I’d sit them down and offer them a choice: get your act together, and continue to have your omelets made to order at the Air Force dining facility, OR I’ll see to it they’ll be transferred to our sister battalion that spends 8 months a year training in the red mud at Grafenwoehr.

You know there’s always one that wanted to test the butterbar. Upon returning to visit with their buddies, he said “pay attention, the LT was right.”

Musk and DOGE are just getting started. There’s so much more to come, and the Democrats are going to own it all. They’ll find themselves in the proverbial briar patch very shortly.

Go get them, Big Balls! lol

Ok, that’s fine, but be sure those who are sent home as non essential may identify the ones who will be laid off, and we should be sure to tell them there will be no back pay.

Uh….whose the majority party here? Last time I saw, the Republicans are in charge of Congress and the executive branches. Dems have no say.
