But there are (unelected) judges who say that it is required. Congress is going too have to start impeaching some judges. They are also going to have to pass some legislation. Now.

I imagine it’s much more than 23%.

Congress is going to have to start being a LOT more specific in their spending bills. LOL

My take on this is that people are not doing “budgets”, but rather just plugging in last year’s numbers and increasing them by the CPI. This makes way, way too much of the spending discretionary. And that, obviously, isnt being coded correctly.

When all these people scream, ask them whether this budgeted money was specified or at the discretion of the agency. Ask them if the spending was coded and categorized appropriately.

Most of what I am seeing is what would have been covered in a basic audit. Not the quality of the spending, but the actual mechanisms to “cut the check.”

This is more keystone cops than I imagined. If it wasn’t our money…it would be funny.

Just basic hunting. But they put the AI name on it and it makes the dems unable to keep track of anything they are doing. They would know a basic audit if it stole their paycheck.

This is happening because Congress votes on giant bills and ignores the details.

Now we know how Trump’s going to balance the budget. We always hear that discretionary spending cuts aren’t enough and that you have to look at entitlements. That’s fine, because I suspect we’re going to find Social Security and Medicare fraud that dwarfs what we’ve seen so far from discretionary spending. The Social Security part is already starting to be exposed.

We all now Medicare fraud exists, but the kind of fraud we typically associate with Medicare fraud is probably penny ante stuff compared to the grifts that have been hidden in the cryptic computerized payments we’ve been making for years.

Can any of this or tangible assets attributable to it be clawed back / seized to repay the national debt?

“”Congress is going to have to start being a LOT more specific in their spending bills. LOL””

I am old enough to remember the Regular Order, with committees, subcommittees, sub-subcommittees for every single part of the Federal Leviathan. When Pelousy first became Speaker of the House, Regular Order was not allowed in her smoke-filled office. She shut her door, created these monstrosities of “legislation” and, as a democRAT congressman, if you did not go along with Pelousy, your re-election would not be funded.

Then, after the Federal Budget had grown to trillions, along came the Continuing Resolution. “Just keep things as they are”

I cannot wait for the coming House of Representatives discussions on future ‘spending.’ The alternative media, which is not funded by any USAID $$$, will be on the case. Rush Limbaugh broke the stranglehold of the Drive-By Media, and today, the Drive-By and democRATs can no longer hide the truth.

I worked for the VA as a pharmacist for 27 years. The nurses and docs and pharmacists engaged in direct patient care do a good job. On occasion are those that do not do a good job and it is difficult to fire them and difficult to reward outstanding workers.

The problem with the VA and most Federal agencies is they are extremely top heavy with administration jobs. Case in point is as follows.

The parking lot of my hospital was totally full from Monday to Friday. It was hard to find a place to park despite the almost doubling of parking space from 1987 to 2014. On weekends the parking lots were almost empty as it was only essential personnel working on the weekends. Each empty slot on the parking lot represented an administrator or paper pusher.

In 1987 we had almost twice the number of patients as today but the Administrative Staff has grown. We have less admissions due to our clinics being oriented to out patient care instead of admission. It works and the patients like it also.

It’s easy to imagine over 90% is fraud or waste when you consider the fact that hardly any of the alphabet agencies and departments in the federal government are proscribed by the Constitution.

Most of the federal government should not even exist - so waste has to be a lot more than 23%

Not doing budgets? Criky man they not only don't write them, they don't even read them, they only know what their cut will be.

To understand how it works just observe how many of them leaves office poor or even worse off than when they arrived. I recall one, Trump.

Here is the financial statement audit of USAID.

https://oig.usaid.gov/sites/default/files/2024-12/0-000-25-001-C.pdf

On page 12 there is a detailing of payroll controls weaknesses. There is a later discussion on lease accounting problems.

This is basic stuff.

Yes, the administration staff has grown, but not that much.

“Each empty slot on the parking lot represented an administrator or paper pusher.”

Dr’s also work and see patients Monday through Friday. Weekends are only for emergencies. During that time there is minimal Dr’s on site for emergencies and a few “On Call” for backup.

My wife was a VA Dr for over 30 years.
