CNN reported on Saturday that a federal judge halted Elon Musk’s government efficiency team from accessing a critical Treasury Department. US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, who Barack Obama appointed, cited a risk of “irreparable harm.”

The order temporarily stops access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans’ tax returns, Social Security benefits, disability payments, and federal employees’ salaries.

Moreover, Engelmeyer ordered the destruction of any downloaded information from the payment system by anyone given access to it since January 20, the date Trump was inaugurated.

We all knew all this was coming. I hope Trump is able to overcome the onslaught that is just beginning.

Now is the time to create a “constitutional crisis.” Refuse to destroy the data while appealing the decision. Take it straight to SCOTUS.

To my knowledge nothing has been “downloaded.” Otherwise, your honor, you serve at the behest of the people who pay your salary.

>>The order temporarily stops access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans’ tax returns, Social Security benefits, disability payments, and federal employees’ salaries.

Then no one else needs access to it either. Shut it all down, no one gets paid, no SS benefits, no tax returns. when people scream, give them this judges phone number.

It means they’re fairly sure the DOGE gang found incriminating evidence and they’re scared their butts are going to jail.

The judge doesn’t have that power. I foresee impeachments for activist judges of all stripes.

You have to start with the judges

Judges don’t have the authority. The idea that a president needs the permission of the judiciary to perform his duties is risible.

US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, who Barack Obama appointed, cited a risk of “irreparable harm.” Judge, just out of curiosity, what are your GPS coordinates?

James and her fellow cronies claim that DOGE was unlawfully granted access to the Treasury system previously limited to “specific government employees.”

***************

This is total BS. Access to sensitive and classified information is granted virtually everyday to government contractors who have clearances that authorize them to access the data and/or use the systems. Without granting such access the government would not be able to maintain, upgrade and operate its computer systems nor in many cases provided technical services and analytical support. There is nothing unlawful about granting this kind of access. Contractors are even granted access to 'personally identifiable information' when working in certain agencies.
