If one reads the letter, the liberals whined and said they were being unfairly singled out and being shut out of opportunities. So the Pentagon doubled the number of media outlets from 4 to 8 and brought in 4 additional Conservative outlets, Newsmax, Daily Caller, The Free Press and Washington Examiner.

CNN left the airports in March 2021, so when AT&T owned.

AT&T dumped CNN in May. So the deal likely was already in the works and Discovery may have wanted that cleaned up before they were holding the bag.

It looks like Discovery hasn’t dumped it yet, but CNN is circling the drain and they need to get rid of it before it becomes a complete writeoff.

Actually, it was the opposite. CNN dumped the airports. CNN paid an annual average of $150,000 per airport and it became cost prohibitive.
