Researchers in Oregon analyzed nearly 200 samples of shrimp, salmon, and other fish native to west coast waters to test for microplastics, tiny particle that get into our blood, accumulate in our organs and cause untold damage.

Amid the findings, however, the experts do not recommend shying away from seafood entirely, as microplastics can be found in virtually all food and water to varying degrees.

It's not much of a sacrifice give up entirely as fresh seafood takes a bank loan to purchase.

“cause untold damage”

If I follow the link to your website, you won’t tell me the damage? Why bother?

“... and cause untold damage.”

IOW they have no idea but just assume they must do something wrong.

I probably had more exposure as a kid with those mercury maze games we had. Tip that little maze around guiding that mercury bead to the goal, lol.

This environmental disaster was brought to you by the “environmental” left, demanding recycling plastics before they knew if that waste stream had any customers. They were completely ignorant of manufacturing and yet felt qualified to dictate policy.

When I was a toddler my folks moved inland to PA and gave up seafood. I’ll buy salmon or tuna now and then but “don’t trust it” still rings in my head.
Too bad because they say it’s super healthy.

If he told you the damage, then it wouldn’t be untold anymore.

I have attempted to read a CREDIBLE text of just what chemical(s) these microplastics are and how they cross the gut membranes and into body tissues. Also, what damage do they cause and how.

I got nuthin worth reading, ever.

I forgot about those. We use to coat silver dimes with mercury from broken thermometers.

Well we used to play with the raw silver mercury, recovered from the vial of mercury in the old thermostat switches. But didn’t affect me, I’m perfectly normal, normal, normal ….

Microplastics has been another environmental wedge issue in recent years. It’s part of the anti-plastics - anti-plastic bags - anti-petroleum movement. There is need to strike fear in a critical mass of people to get buy-in for the environmental agenda (givernment control) ... people yawned with banning the internal combustion engine, and taxing/banning plastic grocery bags ... BUT ... hey youins ...youins have got microplastics in you and its doing [untold] damage. Now panic!

Let’s ask who funded the research. Would not be surprised if it was tied to money flows out of the USAid that had some cleaning along the way.

The entire planet is a mixture of all of the elements and many compounds. In some places the concentrations are higher.

Eat the seafood and be happy.

This propaganda put forth by lawyers looking to sue every sea food supplier in existence.

Like USAID, lawyers trolling for clients are a menace

I wouldn’t play with mercury. You probably were not exposed to enough of it (dose makes the poison) to have any noticeable effects. There is a reason a person was called “the mad hatter”... it is tied to mercury.
