82-year-old Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell was seen in a wheelchair Wednesday after reportedly falling multiple times in the Capitol building.
Ken Klippenstein, a self described independent reporter, posted a photo of the aged senator being pushed in a wheelchair by an aide. “82 year old Senator Mitch McConnell spotted in a wheelchair after falling not once but twice today,” he wrote.

As I wrote here before, the longest running member of the US Congress the late John Dingell, Jr. (D) took the seat his father had held starting in 1924 (and now his wife Debbie Dingell holds) in Michigan. He was a House page when FDR spoke to declare war on Japan. A Congressman from 1955-2015.
In the final years on the days when there was a key vote a young man would wheel his chair into the House chamber, with Dingell’s head mostly slumped toward his lap, and tell Dingell they needed his vote. He would tell the young man to signify yay or nay. People say he was vaguely aware of his surroundings in the last years but his needed votes were always there.
