The US Department of Defense is developing plans to withdraw all US troops from Syria, NBC News reported on Wednesday, citing two US defense officials.

He’s baiting them.
Two thousand troops ( more or less ) is not a significant force, and was kept in place by Biden-Harris. With the continued fighting between rival Muslim groups, sponsored by Sunni, Shia and Turkish factions, those troops have a very visible target painted on them. Assad was no picnic, but the latest "yesterday he was a US-branded terrorist but today he is lauded by Democrats" one atop this mess is not in a stable enough place on which to base long term planning. Bring the 2K of US troops out of there.
It is about time. They should never have been there in the first place.
My first thought is that this is a good idea. Now that we can project strength and readiness as a nation, we don’t have to maintain a presence at at every little trouble spot in the world. Trump (and any other strong American President) can project strength based on our resources and a firm no-nonsense resolve.
Linda Graham has been quiet. Full blown alcoholic bender?
Yes, bring them home. Maybe next pull out of Europe...
Pull them ALL out of Africa and Europe too.
He’s baiting them.
“I’m also ‘Baitin’’ Manning”
Pull them out and let the muzzies kill each other.
👍
They never have been there in the first place.
It is. And it is past time. Here from 2018....

Some 2,000 troops have helped rid much of north-eastern Syria of IS, but pockets of fighters remain.

President Donald Trump's order to the Pentagon this weekend to withdraw nearly all of the 1,000 US troops from Syria has sparked an urgent effort at the highest levels of the Pentagon to ensure they can be brought out safely.Esper and Milley did not obey the President and CiC, but rather slow-walked the whole until Biden took office. 1,000 became 2,000.Several military and defense officials tell CNN that the evacuation is now the top priority for Defense Secretary Mark Esper and General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As you said, "It is about time. They should never have been there in the first place."
Will they follow orders this time?
Good.
Or maybe a gay puppies pile.
Essentially they have been there protecting the Kurds.
It is likely the International Republican Institute scandal being seen now in the press is occupying some of his " concern."
Better run that by Milley again.
