How much is the DEI component costing, and who’s paying for it?

I have to wonder, why is federal funding paying for the bridge and not the insurance company that insured the ship?
Why not any state and local funding?
Does 2 billion dollars seem high?

the rebuild is expected to be completed by fall 2028 No it won't.

Did we ever get a statement from the guy who rammed the ship into the bridge? Not once did I see pictures of the crew or hear, in their own words, what happened. Is Trump going to allow the truth here to remain covered up?

They could use the rope ferry barge from Jose Wales. I’m sure Lemal wouldn’t mind.

I hope the DEI commonest is confined to the aesthetics, not the engineering. As for the cost: From Yahoo News The governor also applauded a broad bipartisan effort from Congress to pass a federal spending package in December that covers rebuilding costs. Surprise, not.

No mention of "replacing" the rail line.
Don't suppose Brandon cares now that he does not commute...
To: fluorescence
Trump would have had building started already with the shipping line and insurance paying for it.

Seems to me they're working on dropping the Francis Scott part. Maybe everyone already called it the Key bridge?

Biden promised Baltimore the federal government (us taxpayers) would pay for it all.

What a rip-off on the taxpayers...as usual. The shipping company and its insurance should pick up the cost. What continuing BS!

1. $2 billion seems a bit high, but not unreasonable.
2. I suspect the insurance coverage is capped at far less than $2 billion.
