Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy on Saturday revealed a new underground missile facility along the country’s southern coast, AFP reported, citing footage aired by state television.
The unveiling comes just two weeks after the force showcased an underground naval base.
"Hundreds of cruise missiles capable of countering enemy destroyers' electronic warfare are stationed in these underground cities," the Iranian report stated.
The facility, whose exact location was not disclosed, houses missile systems stored "hundreds of meters underground" and capable of being deployed swiftly.
"These systems and missiles can be armed and fired from hundreds of kilometers away and can hit targets far out at sea," the report added.
Guards chief General Hossein Salami, accompanied by Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, who leads the naval arm, toured the newly revealed site.
The report also introduced a newly developed cruise missile, the Ghadr-380, which Tangsiri said boasts "anti-jamming capabilities" and a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers.
He emphasized the missile’s strategic power, stating it could "create hell for enemy vessels."

Israel will make sure it stays ‘underground’................
An underground navy base. Saves time, I guess.
And don’t forget their underground air force, it’s undefeated in battle.
The problem with deep underground bunkers is that to render them useless you don’t have to reach deep underground, you only need to collapse the entrance. Similar to how all of those backyard bunkers can be defeated with a simple plastic bag over the air intake (or some gasoline poured down it and a lit match, or a hundred other easy countermeasures). When you try to burrow underground, it’s your adversary on the surface who holds the advantage.
Might be some help from China. They have a long history (since Mao) of major tunneling projects - biggest in the world.
.
Umm..Really? Taken at its least hyperbolic, 200 meters is roughly 60 stories, or 300 meters at 90 stories beneath the surface.
That is quite the dig, and near the seashore, pumping out water will be a challenge.
The exhaust opening will have air coming out of it much warmer than the atmospheric air. Quite easy to pick up the heat signature. The intake would have a significant air flow going in, also quite easy to pick up. Two 2000 lb bombs dropped to go off at the exact same time would create a pressure wave inside the complex that would mash everything in there a flat as a Bud Lite can laying on an interstate highway.
Justification to step up production of the MOAB.
Did Guards chief General Hossein Salami see footage of our strike yesterday on ISIS’ caves in Somalia?
But General Salami wants to impress everybody. I’m impressed. It’s so convenient. One-stop smart-bomb dropping.
