Very hard to tell who could see what. Even a slight difference in altitude can obscure the other object especially at night. Helo was too high. Case closed.

How did they VISIUALLY miss the plane? How? I viewed this multiple times, and I see no attempt for a last second correction. Something is not right. Did the pilot, perhaps, have a medical event?
They are keeping the name secret in order to aid our conspiracy theories.
They are withholding that information, but based on Trump’s statements, it appears to be a DEI person.
NVGs have limited vision to the sides. I suspect they had eyes on the other aircraft and just didn’t see this one. ATC calls were likely the cause. Also, being at the wrong altitude is a big issue.

Different source says the direction from the control tower were vague. It is possible the pilots in the helo were looking at the wrong plane due to unclear control tower directions

We know the helicopter turned to a course to intercept the plane
We know the helicopter increased altitude to intercept the plane
Did the helicopter also change speed? I’ve heard about the course change in the altitude change, but I’m wondering if it also picked up speed?

As Juan Brown (blancolirio yt channel) said, we are seeing the plane head-on in these videos and its lights will be much, much brighter. The helicopter is approaching at more of an angle and from below, and the lights are not nearly as bright, and can blend in with background lights. Just something to keep in mind when watching these videos.
Perhaps you would know, would the flight recorder indicate whether co-pilot or pilot controls were being used to control the helicopter?
Everyone seems to act as if all aboard the helicopter were of one mind, but I’m not so sure.
Complicated further if they were using night vision gear, from what I’ve read.
