A crowd of over 1,000 Cuban-Americans and supporters of the anti-communist cause rallied in front of the White House on Tuesday in support of President Donald Trump’s Cuba policies and urging him to take more stringent action to contain the malicious influence of the Castro regime.
The rally took place on the anniversary of the birthday of José Martí, Cuba’s most influential writer and freedom fighter, in 1853. It was convened by Miami-based commentator Alexander Otaola and featured the presence of several prominent members of the Cuban-American community of Florida. The congregants urged President Trump to adopt measures to restrict money flows to the communist regime and pressure the regime to release its hundreds, if not thousands, political prisoners, many facing torture and harrowing conditions in prison.

I wonder how hard a nudge it would take to support the Cuban people to change their communist government and regain control of their destiny? A complicated question and not sure how ingrained communism is in the people who have to live there. Their history doesn’t seem hopeful that they are about to spontaneously throw off their communist dictatorship anytime soon, yet they must themselves, for communism to truly leave that island nation. We spent a lot of treasure and lives trying to help in Vietnam and Afghanistan to see it collapse as soon as we were no longer garrisoning those countries.
Castro/Castreau, Cuban or Canadian?
When the Cuban people revolt—the USA must support them all the way. Cuba must be free again.

Trump could rival Reagan’s “tear down this wall” speech with a speech telling the Castroite government to leave Cuba in 48 hours. There would be such an uprising in Cuba for freedom it would make our heads swim. Cuba would be free and another massive win for Trump and America.
Just a word from Trump: Tell the communists to get out, or just say we support a free Cuba. The people would do the rest.
