Road Trip: Naval Air Station Pensacola Corry Station, Florida

Naval Air Station Pensacola Corry Station, Information Warfare Training Command (IWTC), formerly known as Naval Technical Training Center Corry Station in Florida, United States, is a sub-installation of nearby Naval Air Station Pensacola that hosts several of the Navy's Information Warfare Corps training commands. IWTC is the headquarters for its Center for Information Warfare Training and is part of the U.S. Navy's Tenth Fleet.

NAS Pensacola is dedicated to providing the highest level of base operating support and quality of life services for all shore activities aboard NAS Pensacola, Corry Station, Saufley Field, and Bronson Field. Known as the "Cradle of Naval Aviation", Naval Air Station Pensacola serves as the launching point for the flight training of every Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer (NFO), and enlisted aircrewman.

The United States Navy's Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) is one of the learning centers of Naval Education and Training Command.

It is responsible for the development of education and training policies for over 22,000 members of the Information Warfare Corps in the fields of cryptology and intelligence, along with the cyber realms of information operations and technology, and computer systems and networks. The Center also oversees Language, Regional Expertise and Culture (LREC).

All of CIWT's learning sites operate under one of four "schoolhouse commands, each which specializes in a different concentration. Each schoolhouse has its own leadership team (CO/XO/CMC) and operates independently of one another.

Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station focuses on cryptologic technician (CTT/CTR/CTI/CTM/CTN) and information systems technician (IT) enlisted “A” and “C” schools and cryptologic warfare (CW) and information professional (IP) officer courses.

We’re FINALLY out of the deep freeze and have several days with above average temps. THAT, I can live with. LOL

It’s still trying to blow here. Then we got a couple inches of snow before our temps are supposed to head below zero.

Everything holding up so far? The wind just isn’t giving y’all a break.

It was in the 30’s today, and some of the ice has melted.

But then the temperature plunges and it freezes up again.

I didn’t feel the earthquake, but Tippy did. She jumped up onto my lap and lay quietly there for a fw minutes, which is very unusual for her.

She’s not a “cuddler” usually.

Hiya radu!

Today my foot care nurse was over. I've had her come in every 6 weeks or so the past 2 years and take care of my feet, thorough pedicure (and I mean real thorough), callous grinding, lotion, massage, she does it all.

And enjoyed the sun streaming in the window, nice day!
