President Donald Trump got into a heated exchange with embattled Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass as they clashed over her handling of the wildfire crisis.
It came after Trump was greeted by California governor Gavin Newsom on the tarmac as he arrived in Los Angeles to view the devastating aftermath of the recent wildfires.
The two men then engaged in a very awkward handshake as Newsom - a Democrat who Trump has derided as 'Newscum' - humiliatingly thanked the president for coming.
Newsom, who Trump has blamed for failing to prevent the fires, said his state needed 'a lot of help' from the White House.
It came after Trump toured hurricane-battered western North Carolina earlier today.
He savaged the federal response to Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, and said he was considering dismantling FEMA, the agency responsible for helping the victims.

In a joint press conference on Friday night, Trump said he heard from several groups that they were told they couldn’t start rebuilding properties for 18 months.
‘No, no,’ Bass shot back. ‘That’s not true, you can hold me to that.’
Trump responded: ‘They need to start tonight.’
After Bass said one of the urgent issues right now is ‘getting rid of hazardous waste’, Trump appeared less than impressed and said Bass needed to start ‘expediting everything.’
‘You will have no permit problem, there will be zero delay,’ Trump said, which drew applause from the audience.
‘You said hazardous waste - what is that? You have to define it. Are we gonna go through a whole series of questioning on defining it?’
Bass repeated: ‘Nope, nope nope... you can come back and check.’
I saw some of the meeting between Trump and Mayor Bass. Actually, it looked to me that the two of them were having a good discussion and making plans on what to do from here. Bass seemed to be listening to Trump’s frank remarks.
Perhaps I missed some earlier clashing.
One thing I was left wondering was, why was the First Lady sitting there between Trump and Bass? It’s always good to see Melania, but in a crucial discussion as this one, I am not seeing the need for a third party.
Maybe Trump wants to slowly introduce Melania to what he does, so that in the future she can participate in the discussion should she want to.

We couldn’t believe the loser DEI low-I.Q. mayor was trying to school the most successful NY real estate developer on the subject of construction.
I am sure she is a comforting and reassuring presence to him. And quite frankly, to the public. LoL I am more likely to tune in for longer for example if she’s there. 🤷🏻♀️

Because there were no fiery exchanges. Trump was calm, rational, deliberate, candid.
Bass blathered.
She received the beatdown she deserved!
I listened to this episode of the RETURN OF 47.
Karen Bass kept saying that she was keeping the people safe by not allowing them to return to their homes that had been burnt to the ground.
These blacks should stick with civil rights.
All FEMA’s money went to support the illegal aliens here.
Maybe it's a good idea that NO Democrat, especially a female one, gets close enough to DJT to accuse him of some kind of assault.
If the Dems can scream that Trump groped or abused her, they can capture the headlines and provoke an investigation for days or months. That's a win for them

He did a great interview on Joe Rogan recently...he’s a bit quirky for sure...but has a solid foundation when it comes to faith/humanity.
The proven “rope-a-dope” strategy...
He put her on notice in front of the world and now he’s gonna give her some rope. If she’s smart enough to do the right thing, good. If not, he will be back in CA and “she won’t be happy”.
Don’t forget the First Family is making a huge sacrifice - giving us another four years after eight years of abuse - and I think I understand why she’s coming along on some of these trips.
When I was an exec for Scott Paper Co. in the early 1980s, my job involved a lot of traveling to our many division headquarters, mills, subsidiaries and affiliates. With all the acquisitions, divestitures, large capital projects, I was strapped to a plane a lot and spent many a night in motels -which took a great toll on family life.
In order to soften the blow, the company would encourage us to bring our spouse along on some of the more exotic trips, all expenses paid, especially the international trips. We could even combine it with a vacation - I went to Tokyo for a couple weeks - my wife was flown out for the second week and saw the sites firing the day while I worked - then we flew to Hawaii on the way back since it was on the way. We paid for the Hawaii vacation part but the flights were all paid for by Scott.
I know it sounds like a just a perq, but it was more then that - you can literally destroy your marriage if you travel too much - and I’m glad the company understood that. It wasn’t just the executives either - the internal auditors and traveling engineering consultants got to take their spouses on trips as well.
I think it’s probably something President Trump and Melania discussed when they decided together to do another four year stint. Seems like a healthy choice - I hope they keep it up.
