Trump says it’s Putin’s fault Ukraine war isn’t over
Newsweek ^ | January 25, 2025 | Zoya Sheftalovich and Camille Gijs

Donald Trump directly blamed Vladimir Putin for the fact the war in Ukraine is still raging — a day after threatening massive tariffs and sanctions on Russian products if he fails to make a deal to end the conflict.

Speaking in a video address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the United States president said he would bring down the cost of oil, because "if the price came down, the Russia-Ukraine war would end immediately," adding: "It's time to end it."

Asked whether he believed the war in Ukraine would end by the time the WEF returned to Davos in a year, Trump said: "Well you're gonna have to ask Russia. Ukraine is ready to make a deal."

Trump openly stating what we've known all along. Putin could end the war right now by ordering his troops home and stopping all further attacks. Obviously, Trump's receiving better intel briefings now that he's back in office!

No American troops and no American tax dollars going to the Greasy Green Grifter looks like a win to me!

I love how the Ukraine Zeepers have all morphed into being the most PRO-TRUMP people out there.

We are witnessing a masterclass in disinformation, manipulation and propaganda.

It’ll be a draw.

Both sides will get some of what they want, and both sides WON’T get some of what they want.

Putin better take the deal, or it will only get worse for Russia and its failing Economy.

The RATS are blocking Ratcliffe as CIA director. As soon as he and Gabbard are confirmed, the skewed neocon intel info. based on SBU reports, that Trump is getting, will become more balanced.

Very astute point! Its hard to make good decisions based on skewed intel, so we need those appointees confirmed ASAP.

"Z" is probably going nuts....but if thinks he is getting all the lands back...he's nuts. Trump wants to force a deal.

It's going to be just like Korea.

Putin and Trump are Old World..."To the Victor goes the spoils."

Pretty sure there's a lot going on behind closed doors....as it should be.

Hardly. Globalism is on the run, NATO is in tatters, the political unity of February 2022 has been visited by the Zelensky Curse and the EU is in economic ruin. In addition, Ukraine will never be a member of NATO and the de-Nazification of Ukraine is a success by any measure.

I am pleased but very surprised that you and I now seem to be in complete agreement. But don't worry I won't spread the word to some of the more vitriolic personalities here.

We are currently going through a period of theater which will help some people accept the actual outcome. But we all should be glad that we have someone on our side who is a master negotiator.

waiting for the “United Nations Buffer Zone” brilliant suggestion with Forces from a dozen country’s armed forces. imagining North Korea, India, Belarus, Eire, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Bolivia (and the U.S.)
Woopee! World War III.

And Putin won’t get 5/6 of Ukraine, 1/3 of the Black Sea Fleet stays rusting on the ocean floor, and Russia remains shut out of Euro energy markets.

Draw.

Whatever one's views, I think everyone should be prepared - the "debate" and "demands" will go well-beyond just the 4 Ukraine provinces claimed by Russia and now mostly under their control.

Of course, there’s also the issues of how much Russia will pay in reparations for starting this war, the thousands of Ukrainian children that Russia kidnapped, and the wanted war criminals in Putin’s Cabinet.

Those issues have to be solved too.

Yes, and notice how gaslighting Bolshevik dupes and fellow travelers furiously try to turn everything back onto Ukraine once President Trump correctly identifies that the problem here is Putin’s regime. Everyone needs to understand this is war pig Putin’s latest genocidal campaign on Russia’s neighbor and nothing else.

“Trump openly stating what we’ve known all along. Putin could end the war right now by ordering his troops home and stopping all further attacks. Obviously, Trump’s receiving better intel briefings now that he’s back in office!”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, Trump is saying out LOUDLY what we (we the anti-bolsheviks) have always said here on FR.

The Kremlin swamp is mad at Trump, they clearly showed that the other day on live Russian TV. They clearly say they DON’T want any ceasefires or peace-initiatives.

Thus... Trump understands that Putin is a deep-state swamp-monster pushing for endless forever wars no matter what - to the last Russian...

Also:
Dmitry Medvedev: “Nobody cares about America’s golden age!”:

Medvedev:
“Obviously, the main comment on the rather amusing inauguration of the US President was the dialogue between the leaders of Russia and China, which took place after yesterday’s event. It was the best proof of the multipolarity of the modern world and the strategic partnership between our countries. And it once again became clear to everyone that the modern world is not interested in the “golden age of America”, as Donald Trump theatrically stated yesterday, but in the development and prosperity of all humanity. Together let’s make the world a better place!”, Medvedev writes.

It’s true both ways you look at it. He and his generals couldn’t win the war and Putin couldn’t negotiate a peace.
