Trump announces $500B AI infrastructure project — with biz titans saying it can cure cancer
new york post ^ | 1/21/25 | Diana Glebova and Steven Nelson

“Once we gene sequence that cancer tumor, you can then vaccinate the person —design a vaccine for every individual person that vaccinates them against that cancer. That mRNA vaccine, you can make that robotically, again using AI, in about 48 hours.” said Oracle CEO Larry Ellison

imho, this is a setup to take down Pres. Trump, again.

cancer was cured decades ago by EARLY DIANGOSIS
and EARLY TREATMENT with radiation medicine,
surgery, and maybe sometimes chemo.

now they barely test for it, and delay treatment
for months (not hours) until it is metastatic
(to make more money for biopharma).

Cancer is an problem for all multicellular life . In plants it’s not much of a problem because the cells don’t move around. Cancer is so basic an issue for life itself that if it is ever cured immortality is not far behind.

This special cure based on the cancer cells DNA has a special problem. Cancers rapidly change their DNA. That is why a cancer cell became a cancer cell in the first place!

It’s always either cancer or the children.

There’s no making mRNA jabs safe.

But Elon, Vivek and JD are all invested in the tech and ready to profit from it.

Did anyone else see the article about how ivermectin can be used to kill cancer stem cells? Apparently it ‘cleans up’ weakened cancer cells that have been treated by chemo. This reduces or eliminates the reemergence of the cancer.

Score (another) one for the ‘horse paste’.

%$#@! NOT happy to hear this.
“A.I.” will be the ruin of us all, and it seems too late to close that Pandora’s box.
Just one more time I have to be glad I am not young so will not live to see how this ends.
Pity the kids though.

These world-leading technology giants are announcing the formation of Stargate."

Well at least they didn't call it SkyNet...

These companies report that they already were working together and have started construction on their data centers.

So why, exactly, could this not have been done without Trump?

Is this just a reconfiguration of the Biden admin initiative to centralize and control the use of AI?

When you think about curing cancer, think about the complexity of development of a human being from an egg and a sperm. From just those two things you have all the information for making brain cells, muscle cells, connective tissue, retinal rod and cone cells, bone, teeth, lungs, a digestive system, etc. etc. The DNA sequence in all of those cells is the same. What makes these cells all different is what genes are being expressed in them (what part of the DNA is actively being transcribed), and when.

Cancer takes cells in the opposite direction. Instead of being well-differentiated specialized cells (e.g. a neuron, or a respiratory epithelial cell in the lung), cancer cells lose their differentiation state - somewhat like moving backward to a more primitive state. They keep dividing, and don't go back to being the well-differentiated cell-type that they came from. The normal regulation of those cells, the genes they express, how and when they divide, etc. is lost.

Further, cancer cells from different types of malignancies are significantly different from one another. So a ‘cure’ for one type of cancer doesn't constitute an automatic ‘cure’ for another type of cancer.

My point is that it is very complex, an unless you think AI can easily replicate all of the complex steps of human development and replicate creation of human life, I wouldn't completely buy into the hype being put forward by the AI experts. Can it help? Probably. Hopefully. It's just that stating definitively that it will cure cancer is a conclusion one cannot make honestly at this point.

This announcement made me really, really uncomfortable.

While they did focus on the medical aspect of this and vaccines for cancer...it was more about AI.

It felt like there was something they were not telling us about this 500 billion dollar investment.

‘Stargate’ is the name.

Science has shown that we cannot be immortal, because cancer will eventually get you if you live long enough because error will eventually enter cell reproduction.

Yep, pretty much, and I'm guessing that is Trump's logic as well. if we don't build it, some nation like China certainly will anyway. And if I had my choice I think I would prefer to live under the heel of some all-knowing AI created by Washington and Silicon Valley rather than one created by Bejing.

Yep, this is a bad direction and Trump is allowing himself to be steered once again. This is an absolute full stop no go for me.

This is no better than the big pharma crimes.

Vivek Ramaswamy: no longer has do with money matters of the administration as he now seeks a career in Ohio.

JD: I assume his affairs are in a blind trust.

Elon: he has no expressed political power; he doesn't need the money.

These are men of extraordinary talents whose undisputed abilities and experiences are invaluable to the nation on a subject that might well spell survival for the nation from a equally talented, extremely well-funded and determined foe, China

AI requires physical, ROM firmware and software guardrails. The biggest problem is humans that implement those. Not talking about merit capabilities, QA, but back door evil intent that AI will find instantly.

Correct. But the issue of error correction is one that I believe will eventually be solved. Which is why I think that if cancer is ever solved immortality will soon follow.

So what? Let them... This is like saying we need to jump off the bridge and kill ourselves before they do.

radiation/chemo is the standard therapy for cancer treatment. mRNA alternatives shouldn’t be condemned for reasons of scamdemic related PTSD

For the inconsolable, I suggest you stop using the microwave oven
