Thousands of far-left protesters have swamped Washington, D.C., as part of the “People’s March” to protest President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The march served as a platform for progressive causes, which consisted of extreme anti-cop rhetoric with the threat of descending into violence.
Protesters chanted “Lock him up!” and other slogans, such as “Elon Musk has got to go!” as they marched through the nation’s capital.
The deep-seated animosity from eftists against the incoming administration is concerning, given that a number of leftist socialist groups with a history of causing violence and chaos will also be present.
Demonstrators vowed to make police officers’ lives “sh*tty” amid the growing trend of anti-law enforcement sentiment.
One such moment came when protesters yelled, “Oink oink, piggy. We’re gonna make your lives sh*tty,” as they chanted at police.
The language highlights the radicalization present within segments of the left.
The recent rebranding of the Women’s March to the People’s March also appears to be an attempt to appeal to a broader group of progressives and incorporate other groups intent on disrupting the event.
However, this year’s turnout was significantly lower than that of past marches, with fewer than 50,000 participants compared to the original Women’s March in 2017, which boasted half a million.
Unsurprisingly, protesters carried signs calling for socialism over fascism and climate action, while others waved Palestinian flags and wore keffiyehs
The marches come as many leftists vent frustration over Vice President Kamala Harris’s defeat in her presidential bid against Trump.
As we reported last week, other groups, such as Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition and the People’s Forum, which were responsible for vandalized American monuments last year, have begun publicizing plans in November to “fight back” against Trump’s second presidency.
The groups announced Malcolm X Park as one location for the protest, dubbed “We Fight Back.”
One expert studying extremist movements said security forces should prepare for the “significant chance of violence.”
“Let’s be clear about who these protestors are,” Ryan Mauro, investigative researcher at the Capital Research Center, told the Daily Caller.
“They are operatives of a China-linked, pro-Iran, pro-terrorism, anti-American network. Anywhere they coalesce has a significant chance of violence, particularly towards police, and property destruction.”
Time for Trump to show them the new order.
5,000 is “thousands”.
And it fizzled big time.
Get your pussy-hats out of the closet, ladies, its time to get stupid again!
I’ve seen more people at a Jaguars home game..................
Looking at pics and reading a few stories from yesterday, it seems like “thousands” is an exaggeration. Maybe 1000 maximum is more like it.
Call out the National Guard with fixed bayonets.
They are the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party.
And they should all be J6’d and thrown in a deep, dark prison cell and forgotten.
Thanks for posting.
I’ve seen more a college frat parties.
5,000 people is not even a good crowd for high school football in the South.
Looks MUCH smaller than it was in 2017 guess Soros is running low on dough
I hope they’re enjoying the weather
A fire hose in subzero weather would stop them.
Any violence must be treated as acts of domestic terrorism.
That little group won’t even fill the small, antiquated, Fenway Park in Boston.
It’s their first amendment right to gather and say the stupidest things their limited brains can imagine, develop hypothermia, and wish they had stayed home and not bothered, sort of like the leftists who sat inside and got lectured by Principal Trump.
