Joe Biden’s presidency has been a four-year-long dumpster fire. While he seems intent on conducting a rewrite of his legacy, his post-election decisions have been rife with controversy, igniting criticism across the political spectrum. Since the election, he went back on his word to pardon his son Hunter Biden, and he followed that up with a record-breaking clemency spree, which included child rapists and murderers.
At the time I expressed concern that those actions were just the beginning, and it turns out I was right. Early on Friday morning, Biden issued thousands more commutations.
"Today, I am commuting the sentences of nearly 2,500 people convicted of non-violent drug offenses who are serving disproportionately long sentences compared to the sentences they would receive today under current law, policy, and practice. With this action, I have now issued more individual pardons and commutations than any president in U.S. history," Biden said in a statement released by the White House, bragging about the distinction as if it’s a good thing.
Biden continued:
Today’s clemency action provides relief for individuals who received lengthy sentences based on discredited distinctions between crack and powder cocaine, as well as outdated sentencing enhancements for drug crimes. As Congress recognized through the Fair Sentencing Act and the First Step Act, it's time that we equalize these sentencing disparities. This action is an important step toward righting historic wrongs, correcting sentencing disparities, and providing deserving individuals the opportunity to return to their families and communities after spending far too much time behind bars. I am proud of my record on clemency and will continue to review additional commutations and pardons.
It should be noted that the White House did not release the names of those receiving commutations. Something tells me that quite a few of them are indeed violent criminals.

Let’s remember what Joe Biden did last month.
Just before Christmas, Biden issued an unprecedented wave of pardons and commutations, including the death sentences of 37 federal death row inmates.
The list includes Thomas Sanders, who murdered a 12-year-old girl and her mother; Iouri Mikhel, responsible for killing five immigrants in ransom kidnappings; Kaboni Savage, a drug dealer tied to 12 murders, including four children; James Roane Jr., linked to 11 drug-related murders; and Jorge Avila-Torrez, who sexually assaulted and killed two young girls before later strangling a naval officer.
Biden defended his actions by citing his conscience and experience, stating, “In good conscience, I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted.” He blamed the incoming Trump administration for potentially reversing his death penalty moratorium but offered no justification for why the original sentences were unjust.
And they (elitist superior moral Democrats) were questioning Bondi about blanket pardons. Hypocrites gather under the Democrat banner.
Every RAT potus always sets a new standard of depravity that exceeds anything that has gone before. They have no sense of shame. Cannot be embarrassed.
Am I mistaken, or is the vast number of pardons/commutations FJB is issuing unprecedented?
I wonder if “10% for the Big Guy” plays into the pardons/commutations?
Somebody needs to stop him, for the good of the country.
Hide all the ink pens, crayons and pencils too.
Give him a non functioning, but very authentic looking computer. Dr. Jill, put the Selfie-Stick down and monitor your husband!
Filthy, fascist pig is looking for somebody to give him a medal or trophy or at least a participation certificate.
Just freeing up cells for criminal illegals.
EC
This is how commies operate. Empty the prisons to cause maximum chaos.
“..They have no sense of shame. Cannot be embarrassed....”
Well, once one realizes that these putrid basstids are nothing but the offspring of that which resides in the pit of Hell, it becomes quite obvious why, and of what they really are. Spit.
I think "sh*t show" would be a more appropriate metaphor, but I guess that's not quite as acceptable in an opinion piece. But that is most definitely my opinion, nonetheless.
Perhaps the pardon & commutation power of a President should end a week prior to Election Day of the last year of his term.
This would require a constitutional amendment.
The House should seek to go to four-year terms two years offset from those of the President. Members spend too much time campaigning and fundraising and not enough doing their jobs.
For future officeholders, senator and president should be one-term offices. Future senators can learn the ropes in the House for as many terms as necessary or deemed to be justified by voters.
A panel of jurors, each justice of the Supreme Court naming one, should decide impeachments.
You know, I am getting tired of saying “Not Surprised”
They’ll be back , in jail ,LOL
Braindead better pardon himself for all the crimes committed against us.
I sometimes feel putting scum to death lets them off too easily.
Sounds like anyone in his administration who even tangentially knows somebody in jail is putting names on a list to be commuted or pardoned... and it’s just a matter of whether his Autopen signature maker can keep up.
Drug dealers today kill far more people yearly than in the old days.
“non-violent drug offenses”
The customers of the dealers are often violent.
